Maybe it would have been avoidable if there was a major, but probably there was going to be a retribution. You don't get to pull off a hit like that without answering the bell. Cousins turtled just like his teammate Tkachuk did against Lloyd Christmas (Kassian). You could tell the back of his neck was pretty sore after those punches.

Cousins got what he deserved after the dirty hit. Maybe Erik Gudbranson is the wrong person to pull that crap on.
