I don't recommend going on the STH payment plan until this team is a regular in the playoff picture. There is NOTHING worse than having to pay your final installment right after Christmas when the team is pretty well out of it and none of the games going forward matter.
I've been saying this for some time now. Outside of G, and now Vladdy and I guess Korpi to some degree (both still super new), none of these guys know how to win. They've never experienced it.
Bobby – everything they do at home is much more awful than on the road.
They're powerplay is ultra slow and very predictable. I'm sure the PK units find it easy to telegraph.

I thought Smejkal was fine, didn't look too slow to me. Obviously he wasn't a stand out player but he's on par with a guy like Kelly, and has looked better than MacEwen who can't even make a hockey play. If Kasty wasn't returning, Smejakl wouldn't have been sent down.
I think that sens get a new coach in the offseason and maybe make dj a assistant coach? Then revamp special teams

aside from Giroux I do not see the desperation required on every shift. I don' understand why it takes so long for players to acquire the drive and desire to play desperately day in and day out. this game simply requires an all out effort at all times. This is the leadership I expected but only see from one or two players. So disappointing !
Prediction: Smith is fired in January, Jacques becomes interim head coach, and they find their new coach in the off-season.

I think if our PP,PK & too many bad giveaways got cleaned up this team would be so much better. And, that's what it will take to start winning successfully.I agree with Bobby not to fire the coach unless it will be a good long term way of learning to win. Can someone tell the Sens coaching staff to expect adjustments by the opponent in the 2nd period? The other team figures out the style of play and easily counters.

How do you explain that sh_tshow? Chychrun was bad defensively again. Poor Zub. Why is Kubalik on the PP? Or Joseph? Two PP units never works. They really miss Chabot back there because he distributes. Chychrun and Sanderson just look to shoot.
The PP was great last year when Chabot was running it. When later in the season you guys got your wish and either your golden boy, Sanderson, or Chychrun replaced Chabot the PP took a dive.
I've said before that even the games they've won recently could have gone either way. They won because their goalies gave them the big, timely saves. Problem is that neither of these goalies are quality NHL calibre. Play a good one, then play a bad one isn't going to cut it.
No matter if they manage to straighten out the team's play somehow, those goal tenders will always cause them to be a middle of the pack team at best and if they manage a playoff spot a first round exit. Reminds me of Chiarelli saddling Edmonton with Koskinen before he left.
By the way you are now dumping on Stutzle because of his poor play. That's what happens when you play the kid 23 minutes a night to try and save your job. Smith did the same thing to Chabot and a while back I told you Stutzle would be next. Hope he doesn't get injured by Smith.
Finally you boys are starting to see that Chychrun is not the answer. He makes an awful lot of bad defensive gaffes. Move him at the deadline for a good return. Look for a more physical RD that can play top 4. Kleven is not ready and that was obvious last time he was up.

Speaking of defence. Me thinks he doesn't have the highest hockey IQ. Bad line changes, risky passes just keep happening.
Management 101. Who's in charge… Owner? A/GM? Coach? Players? And, can we see the job descriptions for Jacques Martin and Daniel Alfredsson? No wonder the team is a shambles. No clear leadership. Can we see an org-chart?
