  1. I think it’s just the fact that he was never really a superstar type player before or viewed/drafted as one. He was sort of lost in the depth of New York and Tampa. I feel like his ceiling was 2nd line when we got him and he surpassed all expectations. Like you said to have passed Bure, the Sedins etc. We take him for granted at times for sure. At least he cares out there and doesn’t just give up once he gets that paycheque like so many tend to do

  2. I'll hold my hands up and admit I was one of them. But to my very very limited knowledge as a new fan, he seems to me like a different player altogether. The forecheck, back check and all around effort was way lower last year and he was expensive. Fair play to him he's proven me totally wrong and it's been a joy to watch. Enjoying the channel a lot hey!

  3. Millers had a few great seasons with the canucks but numbers in the rafters is a reach. Even with the shallow allumni we have as an organisation. Kesler should be there if anything.

  4. This fact snuck up on me! As much as I follow the games, I don't Stat watch as pts pile up. Crazy..😼

  5. It takes more than good scoresheets to have your number retired. Stan Smyl, Trevor Linden, and the Sedins gave so much of themselves to the Vancouver community, and continue to do so!

  6. He just wasn’t the type to dig the team out of the whole they were in. I guess he needs his team to be solid first and then he’ll up his game like this

  7. Ya my dad hasn't said shit about "typical American hockey players" lately 😅
