Darren McCarty et Matt Sheppard discutent des commentaires du capitaine des Red Wings de Détroit, Dylan Larkin, sur sa blessure et sur la façon dont il se sent sans protection. Yes. Plain as day…
Go sign a goon. Let's go.
I always knew our top line guys were safe when good ol' number 25 was out there…..and boy oh boy do I MISS THOSE DAYS 😥❤❣️❣️❣️
DMAC will always be GOAT #25 4L
Steve Yzerman would not have had the Hall of Fame career if Bob Probert, Joe Kocur, and Darren McCarty protecting him.
Wait until Bedard gets hit hard, just wait!
If they want to make more money, BRING BACK THE ENFORCERS!!
when Kostin gets back…
I been saying this way before mccarty
I don't know…I watched a lot of NHL games in the '80s and '90s and there were just as many assaults on the ice as we see now if not even more. The only difference is that back then you had to answer the bell afterwards. But that didn't stop the assaults from happening…you just had more fights after the incidents. Stupid things would still happen. And also then you had a lot of fourth liners who couldn't even deliver a pass and they could suddenly snap and do really stupid things and cross the line thinking that that was what was expected of them, that that was "bringing their physical element to the game".
D’Mac needs to go teach the wings how to throw down.
The emphasis by the officiating is on protecting skill players so they can dance around and score pretty goals. Refs are far more concerned with calling hooking penalties if a defenseman gets his stick within a foot of a skilled players gloves.
Dmac is right, the league is turning European. Regular season hockey is almost unwatchable. At least playoff hockey is still good.
It’s more dangerous….and way less interesting. Parity in the league has made a bit of a homogenized, boring mess. The wild card that would counteract that, is enforcers.
Bettman has always been the issue.
Don't think for one second that Larkin's role with the NHLPA doesn't lead to less protection for him. He's one of the few star players that takes the NHLPA seriously and look at what the NHL allows to happen to him over and over.
Another factor is you have a former goon running DOPS. Parros isn't a skill guy, he's the very thing people pretend made the game safer and you're seeing in real time just how much a goon makes things more "safe". You want to see players protected? Put Paul Kariya in charge of DOPs
The threat of possibly having to get your ass beat by a guy who fights every other night kept a ton of these dirty plays out of the game. A guy like Brad Marchand wouldn't get away with half the shit he does in this softer NHL.
Old school hockey is the way
Bettmen’s as big a shitbag as Benn.
Straight up G ! Love McCARTY
if the league cared for player safety wouldn't a larger ice surface be on the agenda.
The real question is, why hasn't the asshat Joseph received a suspension or a massive fine.. Get his fucking douchebag ass out of the NHL.
Taking fighting out of hockey has done NOTHING to grow the sport. The shitheads who cried about it never cared about the integrity of the game. They just wanted to cry on TV.
This dude can’t even finish a sentence
Pre 2004 they had enforers kinda. It has not truly existed since in or before the Dead Puck Era. 2005 on it was just a 250lb dude that could not skate that would play 2 mins a night mostly just to fight the other teams 250lb guy that played 2 mins a night. That never did anything to keep players safe or responsible for dirty plays. In the 90s players still needed to stand up for themselves after a dirty hit. Now any big hit just leads to a grabbing brawl that maybe has 2 punches thrown and an instagator penalty is still given out
End the Fight Instigator rule
I remember watching Ron Francis bump a guy from behind along the glass. The other guy turned around with fire in his eyes. Once he realized it was Francis, his face changed to "Thank goodness it was Francis."
I dont need to watch the video to say YES!!
The wings need a tough guy more than any other team in the league!!
It is the team's General Manager's fault. The Red Wings do not employ a Stu Grimson or Trent Frederic type of player. Yzerman is a hypocrite. Yeah, that's right I said that. When Yzerman played, HE, as a star player, got Joey Kocur brought back from the beer leagues for the sole purpose of protecting himself, Steve Yzerman. But, now as a General Manager, he doesn't employ anyone to protect Dylan Larkin. Shame on YOU Steve Yzerman. Shame on YOU.
Why don’t they monitor head shots like they do hooking and slashing!
It’s pathetic how many bad unjust minor penalties are called yet potentially career ending majors are overlooked!
Fucking pathetic!
