Wow, Sabres looked out played in this from the highlights. That first goal by Pitt called off for offsides (was offsides) Sid is crazy good. Goalie interference on the 2nd I don't know, not sure I'd call that one but the Sabres beat a pretty hot Penguins team so we'll take it, Levi and UPL are playing great with the pourous D of the Sabres.
I must be blind but from a top down view, the only place of contact on that goalie interference call was outside the crease. Wasn't aware that goalies can just poke their head out into the open and get the goal called back, they should abuse that.
The pens got screwed hard in this game. Keep in mind I don’t have a pony in the race. They not only wasn’t goalie interference but they also called 3 penalties on the pens that were not penalties.
1. Accari lifts stick and only the guys stick, doesn’t make any contact with anything else. Hooking. Wrong.
2. Crosby fights for position in front of the net on the powerplay late in the second, guy flops. Wrong.
3. Delay of game, clearly went off buddys stick. Wrong.
I mean the penguins haven’t got many calls their way this year. I try to watch as many games as possible and I will say the penguins seem to always get terrible officiating against them. Not like the oilers or knights.
