A much NEEDED win by the Stars, their first of 2024, thanks to an impressive performance by their 3rd goaltender, Matt Murray! His first career shutout! If he can play like this along with the way Wedgewood has been playing, then Oettinger can take all the time he needs to get back 100% healthy!
Murray was on point tonight. He was seeing everything well out there. Plus the posts were on his side tonight also. I’ll take it. Maybe this is the end of our skid recently. The kid Murray looks really strong. He looked very composed tonight. Great 1st start of the year for him. Special teams did it all tonight.
Stars took 6 penalties in this one but it didn't matter as they responded with 2 shorties. Happy for the rookie Murray who got the shutout on the road.
