not all of us come here for the funny stuff steve, some of us come for your insight. that being said you are funny. if Woll can have a carey price type year and stay healthy in the playoffs, they stand a chance. above average goal tending along side lilegren and brodie in the playoffs, were out after round 1 or 2.

It seemed like the Leafs were losing so many faceoffs, but it was 53%/47% for NY. Maybe it was just the more critical ones they lost.
This team and it's supporters value trophys more then cups. Everyone very excited for Rocket Richard trophy. Chasing it does not help a cup chase.

ESL teacher here. You use the preposition ON with all islands. You live IN Hawaii but you live ON the island of Maui. ON is grammatically correct for land surrounded by bodies of water and IN is for places with their own territories. Nespa? The territory is New York. Long Island is a body of land surrounded by water ON that territory. 💙🧡

Knies is not at 'STAR", He should be a 3rd line grinder but your short a top 6 winger. Its ok so are the jets with a 2nd line center but we used Namestnikov . The same kinda player but no one is Call Namestnikov a "Star" great player yes but one you need on the 3rd and 2nd lines not top line save for a game or 2. The issue with the leafs they are short a good forward, a shut down forward, a shut down D and a real Starter…..

It was the Matt Barzal show last night. Not for all of his goals since he only got the GWG… but his assists. He was the difference just by playing up to what his potential was. Still such a completely underrated player in the league. But I dont think it was a bad game. Just bad moments. Rolling on.
Leafs passing all night was NOT in synch.. It really seemed like they were fighting it. But credit to the Islanders, they were a menace with their sticks! I don't know what the turnover #s were (*obviously I hadn't gotten to that point of the video when I made this comment.😜) , but they were constantly disrupting the Leafs play… All in all this game showed that the Leafs aren't quite ready to be considered an 'Elite' team…but there's still time to figure it out. 🤞

One Leafs win against Lou’s team in the last 5 times they have played them. Isles 6 playoff series wins including 2 East Finals since Shanny blew it and let him leave Toronto, Leafs as we know just one series win. I am damn sure Toronto would be built so differently now if Lou had stayed. Lou has won 3 Stanley Cups on his resume, Dubas and Brad T zero! Again more Leaf’s logic at work and why this team will never do anything in the playoffs.
If I wanted to watch the Marlies I will go find them I want the leafs and Steve. Bad enough we can't watch Saturday night games with him now and no dang it videos anymore…was the beat part of the week for me last few years. Now just high lights which I can see on sportsnet

Yeah, this did not look like an early-season Leafs loss, I have no idea how any analyst/talking head said that. It was a hard-fought game that the other team won in OT. I had zero problems with this loss, other than maybe try not to take tripping penalties.
Also don't think many goalies are saving the Isles' second goal, that thing was a rip right into the top far corner. Just a great shot.
