  1. * If Husso is in the "Elmo" category, Reimer should be as well. That's all about performance. See, I personally expected him to have more bad than good games, so those expectations are met. But I heard a lot of podcasts and read a lot of remarks on Twitter, etc who said Reimer was better and Lyon would go to GR specifically because his career thus far was almost exclusively in t he AHL. Man, he sure shut that crap down, eh? Now we're talking about Lyon as a bona fide starter.

    * On the HockeyStatCards, it looks like they're using xGA/60 in t heir calculations. However, I believe they're also going to re-work those cards in the offseason, according to another Twitter post.

    Let's go Red Wings!!

  2. Personally, I think Raymond, Kane, and Sprong should get a gold star. Raymond is only 21, and he's competing and looking prominent on a first line, winning puck battles, and showing all of the benefits of all that strength he packed in. Kane had absolutely ZERO expectations when he was signed. There was the anticipation that his hip surgery might have completely ended him, and then he came in and was the only shining light in all of December, has his handles, has his vision, his thread the needle passing, scored some beauty goals, and if you watch closely when he has the puck, defenders back off of him. He has completely shaped the offense when he's on the ice because teams are SCARED of him.. And if you're the best bottom 6 forward in the NHL in Sprong, I think that's gold star worthy, unless you're saying to get a gold star actually requires being a super star player…

  3. I have a question for one of you. When Kubalik was in DET last year, who was his centre for most of the year?
