  1. Any NYR fans in here that are about to freak out, don’t. These guys are just taking a headline and running with it blindly because Jesse is a casual NYR fan. Think about how often during Drurys time as GM that a leak that was true has come out and then think about how ‘the insiders’ are the one saying this. I’m sure other teams are calling to try and get Kakko, but he’s not on the block. Carry on y’all

  2. The 2011-2012 Florida Panthers had a -24 goal differential going into the playoffs which is BY FAR the worst since the 2005-2006 season.

  3. The idea of talking about Kakko's production this year and not mentioning his leg exploding is a pretty insane oversight.

  4. 7:47 as a Tampa fan who watched obviously that run to the cup, Vermette was so good for the hawks that year. Crazy pick up lol

  5. Its gonna be the next level of GMing, and the future best GMs are gonna be good at it: you have to know when to trade prospects. You have to know you 'missed' before it's too late and you kill the player's value. Kakko and Laf have already passed that line. Laf less so, but Kakko? Rangers could've had a king's ransom for him. Not anymore. And I bet they will ask too much , not trade him this year and get even less when they finally do next year/this summer. The best GMs in the coming years will be smarter about letting assets go before they lose their value.

I think the Rangers fucked up because they are so close…. once they saw that Laf and Kakko weren't going to have their predicted impact immediately, they should have considered moving them. Rangers didn't have 2-3 years to develop them, they should have moved them for prime players right away and could realistically have been sitting on two cups right now.

  6. My sources in Calgary say Hanafin could be part of a Kakko deal and possibly a high pick included if Hanafin signs extension.. Calgary will also eat 50% of remaining contract

  7. I wish the Leaf's had a real GM like Calgary and Vancouver have. Those guys know how to do their jobs. Treliving has done nothing since training camp. Everyone knows they needed an upgrade on defense and Treliving (chose) to neglect his duty to make the team better. If the Leaf's don't make the playoffs then this weak man needs to be fired. When he was GM of Calgary he let their franchise player walk for free and then traded their other star player for lemons. Where the hell is this guy hiding?

  8. Carolina is in it despite terrible goaltending because Shesterkin has been horrible. The Rangers have had terrible goaltending as well.

  9. Welcome to Montréal Kakko…home to dead project brought back to life by Marty St-Louis ! Rumours are many in that direction…for Monahan too

  10. 😂 only team on the east that can possibly challenge the rangers in a 7 game is Boston even they would be lucky to win 2

  11. Habs traded Lekky and he literally scored the cup winning goal. just sayin. Id be all over Monahan if i was a GM of a contender
