  1. At least the fans, unlike the buds, showed up for this game and sang the US national anthem when the singer's mic cut out mid-anthem

  2. Fun fact I was sick that day but wanted to go to my first leafs game because we have tickets just to watch them lose 9-2

  3. It was the lights…The stadium lights shining on the ice reflecting in all the leafs players eyes. I told them the lights were way too bright, but no one listened.

  4. This is more embarrassing than the Sens not making the playoffs for the past 3 years.

  5. Didn't Phaneuf get a penalty late in the game with something like 2:30 remaining and instead of going to the box went straight to the dressing room? What a captain (lol)

Happy 50th Bday Sundin! (sorry someone tried to defend Phaneuf in my circle, worst Leafs captain ever)

Also pretty sure salute gate happened the very next game. Dark days indeed but crucial to drafting our current crop of players.

  6. As a PREDS fan… don’t expect us to let down. I remember watching this live and losing my mind. Let us have our best game.

  7. Things havent changed much in these 7 years since. 5 straight hilarious 1st rd exits, mediocre defense, pretending 2 backup goalies are actual starters, and a couple of severely overpaid players (16&91)…….yup, the more things change the more they stay the same in Leafland.
