Good trade
Imma be honest I was skeptical and not 100% on Bo but this year he just became my favorite player on the Islanders and I’m happy he is a Islander he brings the leadership and he has been under the wing of two great players from Vancouver.
Gota admit i hated this trade that benning pretty much forced this team into by putting them in cap hell.
However, this has turned out wonderful for both teams.
The Canucks got their top-tier RHD and the Isles got someone who can finish plays alongside Barzal. In a perfect world, it would be nice to have Bo on this current team right now, but that doesn't change that we ended up being a better team for having made this trade.
It’s only a win for the Canucks we still have Raty if he sticks with the team in the future or he gets dealt whatever Canucks won that trade hands down and Quinn is more or a captain then Bo, Bo was a PR move like linden for president no was never one our best players
My initial reaction was that the isles overpaid for another 50-60 point player that wouldn’t push the needle. Glad Bo’s proved me wrong so far. The narrative since they drafted Tavares was that they lacked a scoring winger to go with their 1C top talent.

Trade for Chris Tanev with a 1st and a 2nd Pick), Move Zadorov or Myers Up to the wing (don't show that card till game 1) and rock 7 defense men for the playoffs. Bo Horvat remaining with the Canucks would not have made the Canucks a contender for the Stanley Cup… but using the conditional first round pick to flip to Detroit for Hronek has given the team that legitimate first pairing RHD and that can actually give the team a chance to contend. I was really upset at the time of the Hronek trade because I felt the Canucks could have used the pick to get Sandin Pellikka along with Wilander and that could have set up the Canucks RHD for years to come, but I guess if Hronek can help the Canucks win the Cup, then it is all worthwhile.
Bad trade for Vancouver. If the goal was to get rid of horvats pay check should have traded him for just draft picks not take on these junky players.

Canucks skyrocket without Bo Horvat – the worst captain in Canucks history. Horvat was unimaginative and mostly invisible. Saving his best only when he knew he was leaving. The team is exciting and dynamic and flourishing in his absence. Not missed at all.
Also depends on what happens in the playoffs. We'll see who can win a cup

red wings quite possibly the big winner if pelika reachs even half his potential the biggest reason is the salary dump ans age of horomic is a plus and pelika a gold chip prospect then they get debricat for less then horinic only way they not biggest winner is if canucks go deerp in playoffs three or four years.
