It was intent to injure shoulder to head yea no intent. Dillion will be suspended for 3 games
If Dillon is in the lineup he will be scrapping with Ludwig as soon as he steps on the ice 🤷🏻♂️!
He has a history of injuring players so this isn’t his first time!
The league's "player safety" is a joke. A bunch of clowns.
The dude was locked on to Noal's head the whole way. Plenty of time to adjust course, i dont care how fast the play is.
That should have easily been a hip check, no head contact, cancel him into the boards. Instead he tries to decapitate him. League wont but should be firm about these hits. I'm not sure why more defenders or players in general don't use the hip check? Oh, right, its because they know they can get away with throwing fore arms and head shots.
Im sorry but what game was u watching,,its clear he knew what he was doing.an who the hell in the pens line is going to retaliate??? They cant get people to hit anyone
Yinz KNEW as soon as Smith & Ludvig came back SOMEONE was going down……my money was on Rusty…….
Pens can NEVER stay healthy.
Sick, lame, and lazy….
Blind, crippled, and crazy.
I hope Ludwig is in the line-up. Not to fight, necessarily, but to put a huge hit on Dillon or someone else. Karma is a bi!ch
Note: Dillon is 6 inches taller than Noel. He lowered his shoulder and turned into Acciari’s jaw/head/neck region. I’m suprised His neck didn’t he’d broken. If Dillon took a better angle on the play and didn’t lower his shoulder then it would have still been a bit hit and a clean play. Dillon doesn’t give a sh!t. He’ll gladly take the suspension
They better insert ludvig for sat if he is healthy enough to go. Plus POJ doesn't have it.
Dillon wasn't aiming for Aciari's head, but he was DEFINITELY head hunting. Regardless of whether or not it was an accident, he was looking for what he found.
this is a huge hit to the lineup. Who else in the lineup or potential lineup has what he brings to the table? no one…
Hoping Aciari finds himself on the path of health first and foremost, once again @insidethepenguins you're right on point! Massive loss!
If you watch the hit, Dillon rises up to hit Acciari. He elevates upward right at the time of the hit. Maybe not intentional, but damn…this is the crap that needs removed from sports/hockey.
Rielly Smith and POJ for Zucker and Dumba
Wake up management sign Dumba ,you missed signing Corry Perry ! So tired of our players being hit and punched in the face , WAKE UP !
If Dillon makes shoulder contact as suggested by taking a better angle, Acciari would be driven 45 degrees head first into the boards and probably breaks his neck. Dillon remains compact and is literally standing still at the time of impact. The responsibility lies with Acciari to avoid the hit by bailing on that zone entry attempt. 3:47
I was going to suggest signing a player like Nick Ritchie, unfortunately he is playing in Europe. I am not saying go get this guy to pound Dillon (he could), but he plays a similar style to Accari and has some ability to finish in his game. However, a month ago Ritchie was suspended for repeatedly punching a defenseless player in the head. I'm not sure who is out there.
I'd love to see a guy like Arber Xhekaj become a Pen. This guy was sent down by the Canadians earlier this year, he is back now but I wonder what it would take to get him. The guy bleeds his teams colors, he can score, hit, and fight if you need. I'd love a player like him on this team. He is beloved outside Montreal for the way he plays.
Losing any player is bad but calling him a key piece is a bit of an overstatement.
I don't think there was intent to injure but it was still dirty and he deserves a fine/ssuspension
