Lindy baled himself out with that 13 games winning streak last season but hasn’t progressed since . Even beating Rangers in the first round was in Marty’s idea to play Akira in the net . Otherwise we would have been swept . Never liked Ruff , like him even less now .

Nailed it. Ruff has too many great tools in his team but all he’s not able to use it. I’am sorry but he has to go. We need somebody who can work with offensive DNA of our young team.

While I have been criticizing Ruff since November due to his lineup decisions, inability to create mismatches or continuity, consistent mistakes that the young players are making, and inability to coach through injuries by shifting his system to best fit the players had – I do not think he blamed the media after listening to the comments. I think he was just simply stating all of the factors that may be an impact. If he did anything wrong, he didn't come and say out right "it starts with me".
Coach Ruff has run his course here – this team needs a more disciplinary coach. Someone that won't play players out of position, someone that will hold the vets and super stars very accountable, and someone that expects high performance every minute of every game. The team should have hired Torts years ago, the team should have elevated Brunette last year… for the short-term they should fire Ruff and elevate Brylin – perhaps he can create a spark and if he does well – awesome if not they need to move on. Elevate Dineen, Bring in Gallant, Berube, or even Quenneville.
He’s dreaming the Bastian won the fight he jumped Trouba from behind after a clean hit and still couldn’t beat him.

Poulter needs to play but playing Daws is like working multiple overtime’s that will ruin his physical feel and mindset.
I love your passion today. Great show. I think you missed a major point which is that Luke needs to be benched. Bad decision after bad decision every game he needs a wake up call. Almost every goal last night was because of some sort of odd man, rush, or a quick breakout and the defense was unprepared. We do not have a goalie problem, we have a defense problem. I’ve been on the fence for a while, but I think I’m now in favor of firing Lindy. He’s just not capable of getting the full potential out of this team.
I'm slowly moving towards the "Fire Lindy" camp. If one or two player aren't meeting expectations, you can assume its on them. When a half dozen or more players aren't meeting expectations (and previous level of play), you can assume it goes beyond the players.
I’m not into ppl losing their job, but that’s how it’s supposed to be when you aren’t doing your part. If you can’t do your job you get fired or demoted. Honestly, Ruff and Green have to go, but also, this team is unbelievably soft to make a push for the cup. I would add that to the list of things that need to change.

If anyone was actually surprised by the outcome of this game, you need to start watching games in more detail. I hate to beat a dead horse, but I have said this all year after the first 10 games, the Devils played, we need to fire Lindy Ruff Before we will ever know what true hockey looks like. The Rangers used about 20% of their energy in this game because they had a perfect game plan coming in, from a great coach that knows how to lead a team. I am tired of hearing about Timo Meyer, you can judge him once we get a real Coach in place and system

Trey, your analysis of the lineup is very valid. The biggest shock getting the least attention is Colin Miller. I was stunned he was scratched. Miller has been playing great, and he's done everything he's been asked to do. You could even argue that Bahl should have been scratched instead of Miller. They could also consider Miller at the top of the umbrella on the pp since Luke has struggled there. They are asking so much of Luke…it's unfair…asking the kid to go from U of Michigan straight to 20+ minutes a night in the NHL?!?! He's expected to make mistakes. More than a goalie, they have a huge hole not having a top 4 physical defender. This is even more important than the goalie.
