  1. Defenceman want to get points instead of defending again. When they won all those games in a row, they played defence. When you have an average goalie you need to play defence first.

  2. Might as well try out rodrigue. Oilers need to start playing like its a playoff game. Team defense is not good right now.

  3. Skinner is only 25 years old. I don’t buy into the idea that he’s tired. He just had the All-Star break and the bye week. If he still feels tired, then how do you expect him to play ALL the games in the playoffs?? Please stop making excuses for him. He’s just not good enough to win us a cup. The fans and media want Skinner to be the #1 because they want a Cinderella story, an Edmonton boy gets drafted and developed by his home team and wins the championship. Campbell is improving with the Condors, so I’d rather give him another shot with the new system we have now. Remember, he had a better save % than Skinner before he got sent down to the AHL. Campbell has quicker reflexes and movement compared to Skinner anyway. If he has more confidence, which I think he does, he can outplay Skinner. I’d rather go with Pickard and Campbell as our goalie tandem and see how they perform. Skinner is just overhyped as usual.

  4. They do need a SHIFT disturber in the bottom 6 and a tough D man . Cici is a no identity player , he's not physical not offensive not great defensive….needs to go and Nurse has to be more engaged…getbhis nose dirty .

  5. Boston entered last night's game without Hampus Lindholm, so you'd think the Oilers would have been able to attack that side of the ice and get some pressure. The Oilers unfortunately entered the game without a member of their Top 6 in RNH, so one team's back end and the other's forward group testing the depth of their rosters. A Seattle Kraken fanin a comment on The Hockey Guy's review of last night's games praised Boston for denying the Oilers a point instead of bashing them for allowing the Oilers to get a point (it was 4-1 at one point in the 2nd, and Boston let the Oilers get back to tied 4-4 in the 3rd).

  6. HOPKINS's lithium face says it all. We have too many of the same types of players, fast, with good hands. Oilers changed last year when we got BIg guys Bjugstad, kostin and Ekholm. More swagger , just not enough of them. Not sure about contracts n stuff, but id be inquiring about Josh Anderson types of players.

  7. We should trade for frank vatrano and Radko gudas, they both play for the ducks at a great price and that would add toughness and goal scouring

  8. Not sure if Bruins exposed them… they had a lot of unforced errors, should never happen to a pretty veteran team…. almost seem jittery. Not sure why.

  9. Too many goals allowed by Oilers in too many games)) in OT : #25, #71 and # 91 just awful play 😝

And every goal scored against the Oilers has the first and last name of an Oilers player. Skinner’s statistics last 5 games he played are simply awful: 21 goals allowed after 132 shots on target = SV% = .84

Oilers can’t score on power plays and allow fast breaks during power plays. Kane ( – 5 ) is not a finesse player and should not play 3 on 3)) He can score goals, but he is very clumsy defender. Brown (-9) with ZERO goals in 45 games is not a good addition to the team.😇 On a bright spot: Hyman ( + 22) with 34 goals in 52 games.

Oilers need better scoring from McDavid, Draisaitl and Nugent-Hopkins and much better goaltending.😇

  10. Bottom line is near unplayable. Too Small. No identity. Not scoring. You name it.

  11. Please do not quit your daytime job. you are horrendous man. Your opinion about this team comes from Bob’s show!! In the 16th winning streak what was your take on oilers?? The season has ups and downs..

  12. Enjoy the game. Hopefully we win tonight and the back to back BOA tomorrow. Take care all.

  13. the Oilers can't be bothered to play 60 minutes, or only do so when they feel like it. That is what was exposed…again.

  14. My god just stop talking alots of shit about skinner when he was winning 12 in a row and was setting a new record no one was saying anything bad about him but now when the defence not is helping him like they should do and he have let in some goals then ewerybody is saying that he is bad again my god you dont NO what you are talking about no one of you just stop talking alots of shit about skinner and give him that support that you was giving him when he was winning al this games in a row insted othervise its maybe better that some of you are starting to play as a goile in edmonton and se how good you are llooolll bums

  15. I'm a life long Oilers fan but when I watch them play ,I don't see them winning the cup with the crew they have. Goaltending has sucked lately and their defense are still too slow. If they don't fix these issues they will bow out early. I don't think they're true contenders at this point. Even McDavid has been making stupid decisions on the ice, always see him trying to beat 2 or 3 guys in the neutral zone but everyone knows about his tricks now. They are just not cup contenders right now, sloppy defense and bad Goaltending will not get them very far imo.

  16. Could it be the long line change in the second period hurting the oilers. Maybe they need to work on that are they not changing quick enough and getting stuck on the ice tired

  17. In that Arizona game I think Matt Dumba showed that he has physicality & the fire & passion that is sorely needed on our right side of our defense.

  18. Isn't there a old saying "If you ain't cheating you ain't trying hard enough" so before anyone says I'm advocating for this team to go out there to goon it up & hurt people that is not what I'm saying. All I'm saying is that good teams & the top teams are always pushing up against the boundaries of playing within the rules. They test to see how far that they can bend the rules. Boston does it. Florida, Vegas,Tampa & Vancouver this year play a tough physical almost dirty style of clutch & grab, 2 hands on the stick in their opponents chests & backs especially in their own defensive zones. LA has played that way, Carolina uses their sticks a lot mainly to chop at the pucks & sticks but a lot times they make contact with their opponents bodies too. Adapt or cry Oil country
