I have to give Keefe credit for trying Bertuzzi on the powerplay to get him out of his slump. Having a big body in front of the net to screen and put in 5 footers is a great strategy. He doesn't need to be Andrejchuk and score 56. They already have someone to rip 50-70 a season. Kudos for Tavares being a team player.

For a lot of reasons I didn't like the Bert signing. Basically up until the other day I didn't think he's worth re-signing given his lack of production…his play, his lack of heart throught the season (especially the Marchand incident pissed me off)…it really didn't seem like he liked even being on the leafs. Honestly I am still on the fence about whether we should try to re-sign him….but if he keeps playing with the heart i've seen recently and the chemistry he has shown. I think his performance in the playoffs will be the deciding factor.
Vegas is going to be mean in Tuesday. Strap em' up boys, you're in for a fight.

I wish the NHL would change the rule on puck-over-the-glass penalties so that the first offense is a warning. The percentage of games when a team gets more than one, like the Avalanche in this game, must be very low.
After watching Sammy's post game interview, I can't help but think he's hates us all. Maybe in his head , he's like, " they hated me, then they love me…now I hate them all." And now he's playing grudge goalie.

I just want to say the leafs should be buying my dad and I tickets to every away game, we followed them from St Louis all the way to Colorado seeing all 4 of those games. It was some of the best hockey i have ever watched and if we want them to keep winning we need to be there our cheering was so loud Bertuzzi got a hat trick on his birthday

Tavares as a third-line center will contribute more to the team than he would as a second-line center. Imagine being the opposition as a third-line center and hoping, just hoping to win just one draw.
Reading an article by James Tanner from Editor in Leaf, here is one paragraph, "Tyler Bertuzzi had a hat-trick, finally getting lucky after months of being the NHL's unluckiest player.
