Frankly Mike and monte have to go as soon as this season ends they are responsible for the failures of this team we need major changes this offseason and that means blowing up this core Halliburton should still be here leading this rise but the kings were foolish and incompetent as always. Unfortunately, The Kings are a mediocre play-in team, if that. McNair and brown are both overrated imho.
So the problem, as I have talked about before, is "Basketball Maturity" and i some cases tonight, Personal Maturity…
A couple things I noticed:
There was a stretch for the 2nd half of the 3rd quarter where Mike Brown played quite a few back-ups for a while which is where I think we actually lost the game, despite what happened in the 4th quarter.
Not sure what the thought process was here,
The Technical on Duarte and then the subsequent "anger 3" he shot, the turnovers, the lack of focus and smart decision making.
Fox continued to yap at officials after Bulls made baskets, seemed out of character
Kings knew going into this,the Bulls dig down for the ball more then they play hands up defense and yet players would over dribble and often charge into multiple defenders without having an out
Having Fox throwing the inbound at the end of the game and not calling a time out when it was clear no one was open was just weird
Trey hesitating to shoot at the end of the game when open, it was clear he just wanted to get Fox the ball, Trey you are a good shooter, shoot the ball, make or miss, it is the right play
There is an entitled, privileged feeling I see from the team when they get leads like as though they think they deserve the win and they play like it, it's weird
Point is, a lot of these issues are maturity related
There are just a lot of poor decisions being made by more then one of our players when the lead grows, it is like they abandon there game plan and just wing it.
One last thing, I almost never complain about fouls in general, but I felt there were a lot of fouls not called, I felt Sabonis got mugged most of the game under the basket and in particular I felt there was a push-off under the basket at the end of the game that led to a Bulls layup
Lakers and Warriors are celebrating this loss more then the Bulls are celebrating the win, just saying…
