This team looks like an exciting game 7 first round exit. I just don’t see anything that’s changed in their attitude that will get them past that.
Leafs have had home ice advantage in the past 3 playoffs.

This is typical Leafs 😂. They can't beat teams like Jersey and unfortunately for Leafs fans they don't stand a chance against Ovechkin and the Capitals tomorrow or on Saturday against the Sabres! Let's not forget about next Monday's game against Florida. Leafs should mail the 2 points in ahead of time, because Florida will destroy them! It's really unfortunate, because the Leafs are loaded with talent but they are far from being a solid, consistent playoff team like Dallas, Rangers, Nashville etc. I'm a Leafs fan and I'm not hating on them just telling it like it is and once again they will exit this years playoff run in the first round.. It's always a sad day when it comes to Toronto sports teams, Leafs, Raptors, Jays and Argos. Let's hope for a better rounded Leafs team next season….
Domi Matthews and Bert looking very noticeable every single night where as when Marner is on that line it is good then sometimes disappears completely. i hope marner goes on the 2nd line with Tavares and Nylander and the new 1st line stays intact.
The last time he broke up the hottest line on the team Tavares and bert went into a tailspin after being the best line by far…
look for Domi to do something similar when Keefe rolls out the red carpet for Marner back to Matthews right side .
I think Backcock was right to keep apart Marner and Matthews to give you 2 lines for the other team to worry about

Leafs could have had Allen.
Joseph Woll sucked in this game. Jake Allen played like it was Game 7 of the SCF. The Leafs were by far the better team and deserved the win. Officiating was fair. Goalies were the difference.
What is with the leafs getting power plays with less than 2 mins left in a period

As a defenceman you take away the pass and the goalie takes the shooter, Lilly screwed up that 2-1 hard by somewhat taking on the shooter allowing an easy pass. All on him on that 2nd goal
I personally blame Woll for this. Start Jones against the Capitals and Samsonbov against the Sabres! The Leafs should be good after that! Woll is in a skid! This game wasn't horrible, they just had a bad goalie!

Leafs D is not the only problem. Look at the cycle in the O-Zone. It's like it is in slow motion and teams can easily steal the puck, goalies can get set. It's just inexcusable.
It saddens me to say that it doesn't appear that Woll is the answer. Just before his injury he was phenomenal, but with a lead, he's garbage now. And I don't think I have faith in Samsonov either for an entire tournament. Could Matt Murray actually be the answer? Why are the Leafs, and ostensibly Treviling, even leaving that door open?
I'm already prepared for the 1st round exit. Like, mentally, I already know its coming. Whatever.
Steve it’s been years. Time for you to get over Phil Kessel leaving the leafs and win the Cup twice.

So sick of fans making excuses…..on the simplest of narratives on the simplies of levels…..as per usual the other goalie was the diff and Torontos was not! Woll sees Allen playing the way he is….hes gota be better or atleast match it and 9/10 times Tor goaltenders don’t.

Woll was awful. Goalie has got to give you a save, especially when his team is dominant.
That said, i said to my wife at near the end of the 1st period, they better score some goals cuz ive seen this play out so many times. Dominate, dont score, lose game. Didnt go exactly like that, but, pretty damn close
Maybe Bratt got those 3 assists because he's tired of Steve saying his name wrong. Also, it's not only Jake Allen but also the Devils finally have Nico, Jack and Timo healthy and contributing. They still have a lot of guy out on D so they deserve more credit than just saying it was the goaltending.
Even the empty net goal should’ve been an icing. Where were any leafs on that? How do u let a devils 4th liner beat u to that puck.
Matthews reminds me of stamkos. Excellent shot, mediocre at everything else
Matthews is average defensively, which is much better that Stamkos the pylon.
