Sometimes it seems like the sabers organization is more loyal to players making blades of dollars and you haven't really earned anything more than they are loyal to the fan base. Granato, as an NHL coach, is still finding his way. Problem is, the team can't wait for him; They're growing stagnant as he bumbles his way along.
Coaching! Need a hard-nosed back-to-basics coach. Teach these premodonas how to play 2-way hockey. Also, need a more physical style of play at both ends. Unfortunately, nothing is going to change. Buffalo is the place where careers go to die!

Granato "alot of guys didnt look like themselves" Why? because they have no challenge in practice and when it gets to gametime they get outworked by teams with better coaches? Get him out of here..

Watching this team play last night was just embarrassing. No hitting, no hustle and no will. This is all on the coaching. Donnie needs to go that’s it. He should go back to the USA 18 u program were his team can play soft and still win cause they had more talent. I am NCAA hockey right now and UMass hits and hustle more than the Sabres.
The minute the season ends they have no choice but the fire of the coach. These players are so inconsistent and unmotivated. It's pathetic
Don Granato is NOT a head coach. He is a joke and holds no one accountable. Is he paid for this effort or does he do this for free?

I've been off and on with Granato this season. But it feels like changes need to be made. Should have called a timeout early. Should have pulled UPL after the 3rd goal.

Last year we got 91pts with no defensive play, but all out offense. This year wont be more than 80pts likely. Played better defensively (only due to UPL and a handful of defensive minded games). My biggest takeaways is Tage, Tuch and Cozens take major step backwards. There is no way in any league a sophmore player (Peterka) should be close to leading the team in goals. I would bring in Savoie(gotta bring him to pair with Benson), and Kulich (or atleast Kulich for the last games of this season to gain great experience…or atleast what Boos sound like like Sabreland). This coaching staff has 100% got to go. If there was a conversation with Adams to Pegula when signing Granato to an extension, if it went that they signed him expecting a 3 to 4 season spread to crack the playoff code, that would have been fine….if they mentioned that to the fans/media so we would know the expectation.
Bring back Ruff and start bringing in guys that play his style. His style of hockey works if all guys buy into it. That’s where you get guys that have the personality and mental toughness. Start identifying those players
I think you missed on our D prospects as I think Komarov and Novikov will def come good. I am happy with Strbak also.

I know everyone is blaming the coach , but the problem is that this team is void of difference makers . Yes there are a handful of solid players : TUCH , DAHLIN, THOMPSON, SKINNER , PETERKA , BYRAM , but no elite players . If anyone is to blame is the fantasy league GM. Not only has he assembled the weakest mentally and physically team but he keeps on drafting the same types of players ( un aggressive, and mentally weak) . This team needs on infusion of young pros with little bite to their game, and GRANATO to stop treating this players like they are made out of glass .

What Dahlin did was what this old timer calls a "Brian Holzinger Drive-By." Got a chance to take somebody out in front of the net who has the puck and is getting ready to score and you do a lame stick check as you skate by the opposing player, who then pots the puck into the net for a goal, e.g., Brett Hull's game winning "no goal" in the 1999 Stanley Cup finals. Watch it to see what I mean by a "Brian Holzinger Drive-By."
What talented players was Donny the draw for? You keep saying he's an attractive coach to get players but nobody with anything is in Buffalo
UPL gave up four, but the point is still there. The whole team looked like they were still asleep from the Western trip. UPL should have been pulled at 3-0, maybe even 2. Just something to wake them up but nahhhh, our gracious coach waited until 4 to finally make a switch.

We have a Weak Defense draft pool? Did we forget about Komarov Novikov and Lindgren? We talk about Ryan Johnson but where is he gunna fit in a Lineup full of Lefties. With everyone Currently with Sammy coming back RJ is still a 7th man sooooo some one needs to go on Defense as well if you are to fit RJ in the 6 rotation. I do agree they need to Trade one of the top Prospects for A better Bigger winger that has Skill and hits and good along the boards like a Marty Necas Yes . Cayden Lindstrom would be amazing to get but he is a Top 3-5 Draft pick he is a 6'4 215 Left winger. Be very hard to get up that high to go grab him but it isnt impossible. Lets not forget about Anton Walhberg now being in Rochester so he is also coming. Also Can Adams ask Skinner to lift his NTC he and his 9 million need to go. 23:22 I think having a line of newbies is a good way to threaten some of the guys still playing to step up or these guys are going to take your spot. You don’t need to do it with all but do it with the players not producing where they should.
This unironically is a good thing as it allows the ability for players to be held accountable for their actions while keeping the line relatively strong.
