7 Bruins fans killed themselves
People misjudge Flyers fans, we are a cautious bunch.
We know that no lead is safe and we've had a string of seasons for years that are up and down. We harp on the players when they are not doing well but cheer loud when they are clicking, non-Flyers fans see that as solely being hateful and pessimistic.
We have a built in mind-set of wanting them to win SO badly for the elation of it all that when they fall short the disappointment is brutal!

exactly i bet you if the pens had this kinda season were having noone in pittsburgh would know who the Penguins are. along with half the other teams. the only good fan bases are Philadelphia, Boston and Detroit. thats it.
woah, don't forget about montreal & toronto. and vancouver, actually. they're all insane.
Im just saying Pittsburgh fans are a joke. I saw a picture of their rankings in fan attendance from 2000 on and they never were top 20 in attendance till they won then they stayed in mid to late teens.

I remember watching game 7 while on the phone with my now wife, she asked what the score was I said "4-3 flyers with 2 minutes left" she then says "oh the flyers are going to win" needless to say I reply with "SHUT THE **** UP IT'S NOT OVER YET"
I got chills watching this. I don't even like the Flyers. There are a few teams currently that should be watching this video.
I actually think coming back from being down 3 game to 0 and winning the series is harder than actually winning the cup.

No, I have a gut feeling the Bruins will win game 5 by a score of something like 3-1. I think it will be a close game and the Bruins will score an empty net goal with 50 seconds left to ice it. That's just my expert opinion.

The best part of this was seeing Pronger in a flyers uni.
I have to say, being a Flyers fan myself since 1984, seeing them pull off this comeback was probably the best moment ever in all those years. It really sucked, though, seeing the Bruins win it all a year later(and sweeping Philly along the way), because then the comeback didn't mean shit anymore. But I will say congrats to the B's and their fans, they deserved it. Now LETS GO FLYERS in 2013-14!

Although one may argue that Boston ultimately got the last laugh by winning the Cup the next year and sweeping Philly on the way to it, I would still say that this Bruins team will go down in history as the biggest choke artists ever. Every year, a team wins the Cup. But only once in history has a team so horribly blown a 3-0 lead in a series+ a 3-0 lead in a deciding game. You will forever be remembered, 2010 Bruins team.

What an amazing year for the Flyers. A Stanley Cup would have completed this fairy tale of a season; from making to the playoffs through a shoot-out against the Rangers, coming back 0-3 against Boston, and crushing Montreal right to the Blackhawks.

As a FLYER fan I love you for this. This is probably one of if NOT THE BEST comeback in NHL history. We were completely out matched in that series yet we found a way to win and keep the dream of a cup alive.

Paul Holmgren the former GM of the Flyers killed the team by signing Bryzgalov to a 9 year contract in which he only played 2 seasons, traded Mike Richards and Jeff Carter and claimed that it would make them a better team, JVR, Arron Asham, Danny Briere, all the key players they traded away, WHY ON EARTH WOULD HE DO THAT???

The 2010 Flyers where definantly one of the best playoff stories in a while. Sneaking into the playoffs on a shootout win over the rival Rangers. Dominiating the heavily favored Devils, defining the odds and coming back 3-0 against big bad Bruins, dominating the ghosts of Montreal and going to the death against Chicago. You made Rocky proud Philly.

remember like it was yesterday 34 years old and this was hands down the greatest flyers moment ever and im a die hard they come before all my philly teams and just made me so happy this comeback great video watch it all the time several times a year
