« Un travail de pilotage ! » – 50/1 tir DALLAS STAR ressorts amortisseur Leopardstown



Le Dallas Star a provoqué une surprise de 50-1 dans les PW McGrath Memorial Ballysax Stakes à Leopardstown. Le vainqueur appartenant à Amo Racing a terminé neuf longueurs derrière le candidat du Derby de Charlie Appleby, Arabian Crown, dans un groupe trois à Newmarket à l’automne, lorsqu’il était entraîné par Dominic French Davis. Passé à Adrian Murray au cours de l’hiver, le poulain Cloth Of Stars a pris rapidement les devants sous Seamie Heffernan, mais a dû riposter après que Deepone ait frappé le front.     That race was hard to watch…that ground must have been really bad. Everyone was off the bridle early

    I think the interview that Seamie did was quite insightful. He was on quite an experienced horse who was to my mind very fit and was able to act on the ground. The O Brian horses I suspect were about 10 pounds short of their best and probably didn't act as well as the winner in the prevailing conditions. If you look at August Rodin in the guineas he was clearly undercooked and did not act on the softened ground and yet was able to win group 1s later in the season when obviously fitter and better ground. One of the many variables when backing horses first time out.

    This jockey have more than whip and arm strength. He has a something to make that horse 🐎 find a norther gear up the straight .an electronic device..for sure

    Irish racing so much more competitive than British – small trainers have good horses that can compete at the top level, not the case in UK any more unfortunately.

    That was Seamie's first win in the Ballysax stakes a race dominated by his former employer Aidan O Brien the last 7 years.
