I can see Guerin package Gus + Rossi + 2024 1st to move way up in the draft.

The Wall isn't being held back by a Russian, Saros, or Hellebuyck. Also Gus has obvious trade value, even if it's slightly diminished from where it was last year at this time.
At the same time, handing him the reins for 25-26 makes sense.

Gus needs to sort out his eating schedule. I have seen many comments on his nerves getting the best of him and not eating to leave him game energy. So he has some work cut out for himself. He gas had a lot of issues tracking the puck, very weak on catching side snd the book is out on him!

Is that the first step to trading Gus? If we get some value I’d pull the trigger.
There’s no doubt in my mind that the Gus bus will be driving the bus out of the Xcel energy center to somewhere else in the NHL, which will be a mystery
They play the super slow and safe route to try and keep in playoff contention while strapped for cash. They will likely go Fleury & Gus for the first say ~15 games and see if any are playing garbage. If one gets hurt, great can buy some time and put in wallstedt to see how he holds up. If 23 is max for the roster and 20 on ice, then can't they just roster 3 goalies and press box Fleury for awhile if he plays terrible and no goalie injuries? If Gus is bad, maybe press box him for a bit while they contemplate trade. Give him another shot if no great trade deals. If Gus and Flower are both great, then get Wallstedt at least 10 games anyway? Although , I'd rather just risk it and go with Wallstedt since we need him ready the year after. And a partial tank is ok for draft capital 🙂
Flower was done during the 2021 playoffs. He gave up some of the softest goals in playoff history. Vegas saw this, traded him, and won the Cup two years later.
