Those Fishsticks crumbled! 😂 Let’s go Rangers! 👍🏒👍🏒
This is so sad
I really thought Roy would bring out a real competitive edge to the Islanders come the playoffs, I guess he isn't the answer. Oh well LETS GO RANGERS!
Much better than Vancouver I'll tell ya for free. -some jerk
Yeah the islanders were bad but the canes had their way at all time in the third and second. The canes are built different.
That Patrick Stephan Reference 💀💀
If I see anyone chirping about raleigh in the comments I will be humbling you.
Cant believe the Devils couldnt pass these guys in the standings
Islanders were tryna get one point hahahahhaahhahahahah
Picking up Guentzel was huge!!!
What did you aspect for a team that was carried by ot loses to the playoffs? The islands had more loses then wins if we counted ot loses as loses. They would lose to a team that was clearly better.
It may have been a choke, but the reslity is the hurricsnes dominated every aspect of this game. Islanders were lucky to be up 3-0. They had 1 shot the last 35 minutes. Also. 20 minutes of o-zone possesion for the csnes. Isles cant shoot the puck when they never had the puck😅💪🏻💥
There goes Bo Horvat vs Vancouver Finals 😛 haha
I didn't have much hope for the Isles before the series. I have none after this game. I watched the 3rd and they defended the lead like the Canucks last year. They played Patrick Roy rage hockey.
As a stars fan that quote is engrained into my memory 😂
This is what would have happened to my red wings had they made it to playoffs. They would either go down 3 to 0 in 1st (granite the could comeback they seem to love playing from behind)or wings go up by 4 or 5 and the other team comes back and win.
Why? The islanders have been blowing leads in the 3rd period all season long. DId you really think the playoffs would be any different. Objective truth, the canes outplayed them the entire game.
If the NHL had a 3 point system, the Islanders might not have made the playoffs at all. The winner of their final game vs Pittsburgh would have been the 8 seed, loser is out. A team with less than 30 regulation wins shouldn’t even be in the playoffs, let alone a 6 seed. You’re seeing exactly why now.
Watching the game, the Isles lost it long before that 9 seconds. The collapse was a long time coming as the Hurricanes were dominating play almost the entire 2/3 period. You could feel it coming.
But as a canes fan I am okay with it
1983! 👏 1983! 👏 1983! 👏
NY ICE-Landers – miserable joke of a franchise!
LOSERS! – This atrocious franchise will never win another cup.
This league is all about expansion when they should be contracting a lot of terribly run franchises like the Islanders and many others!
Every league is guilty of this, not just the NHL.
Islanders are going to get swept now. That kinda loss is a back breaker!
huh? No video about Lindy Ruff? weird…
With the current team the Islanders have their not going to win a Stanley Cup….Best player is Barzal and he looks like he'd rather be somewhere else.
As a Canes fan, I would not count the Isles out. The goals they got were not cheap. Each was a highlight moment and showed the talent of the team. The Canes just shut them down in the 2 & 3. When you spend that amount of time in the O-zone, goal will be scored. If Isles can get a lead and shut down the Cane's offense, which can happen, they'll get a win or two. Canes are still winning the series. Can the Isles show they are building for the future and this post-season appearance is not a fluke?
Game Misconducts are insane in this one
Devastating loss for the Islanders. They'll be lucky to avoid the sweep.
Engagement
Gordie Lane is laughing as the bandwagon empties!
Islanders bailed out Anderson, had they pulled it out. The Conversation would have been about the Hurricane goalie giving up 3 goals on the first 11 shots.
I will say that, as a Penguins fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this game.
Let's Go Rangers!!!!
Continue to hate on the isles because you’re salty about horvat
HAHAHAHA ISLANDERS SUCKSSSSS
I despise the Jizzlanders but no way can u lose a playoff game like this just make it 7 games with sole season enders
That was a total beat-down.
This game teaches us a very important lesson for all of us in the world of hockey in that multi-goal leads are more likely to evaporate when the teams holding them register very few shots on goal.
The Isles had one shot in the last 36 minutes of the game. I've never seen a team get shut down that hard, even as a Canes fan (and we shut down teams all the time).
It wasn't that New York stopped shooting the puck, more like Carolina took over. 20+ minutes of O-zone time…
Not a canes fan but the islanders were gonna lose even with a 5 point lead imo. Hurricanes have way more power, they isles just got a little lucky in the beginning until the canes woke back up. Canes are probably going to the conference
Not sure it constitutes a "choke" when the better team won. The Hurricanes are clearly the better team. They can dominate when they want and need to.
Back in the 80s and 90s defense took out the offense physically, not this islanders team, bunch of pussies!
Let’s Go Canes!! 🔥 game
I mean, the canes held them to 1 shot in the third. The canes were on that whole period so you can’t blame it on the islanders
