1. Unbelievable. I'm numb. No way with a few minutes remaining i thought the game wasn't done and dusted. This game, is now, the best game of the year for the team. #GoCanucksgo

  2. Forsberg didn't just change the angle for a tip-in. He did direct his skate towards the puck and follow through, albeit discreetly. Tocchet has a policy of not quibbling on calls.

  3. And to top it off, Sawchenko backstops Abbotsford to a Round one game winning performance over Colorado tonite. Crazy. Guy didn't play all season.

  4. pettersson isnt as bad as people think he is. he had an assist on that tying goal. i do agree tho he should be more aggressive

  5. Even with the kicked in goal and phantom calls Canucks win an unbelievable comeback

  6. In 2011 The Canucks were a juggernaut but the other two long playoff runs they went on they caught lightening in a bottle. This feels like it could be a year like that, that last three minutes being the spark. The first half of the regular season showed they've got the players and the system to do it. We were all congratulating the Canucks brass for the moves they made in the off-season that led them to the Pacific title, but its starting to look like bringing in Big Z and Lindy for the playoffs may be equally as genius.

  7. When the Canucks knew they'd play Nashville instead of Los Angeles, I thought it would be easier to beat LA due to Saros. The King's don't have that level of goaltending. But the 3 Canucks goalies have outplayed Saros

  8. hughes looks good to me… he was instrumental in the last 3 goals of the game. didnt get an assist point but started the play in all 3 goals

  9. Hmm, you guys are trying to micro-dissect the team too much. So what if the Canucks only got 1 line going every game? Because of the talent level, that's all the Canucks needed. So what if our #1 and #2 goalies goes down? Which they did. Our #3, Silovs, is basically on par with another team's starter, say Skinner, Samsonov. We aren't giving up much, if at all, by starting the #3. and Hughes not playing enough? It's ok, we got 5 other defencemen that steps up, the Canucks have the deepest defence core of all the playoff teams, it's actually a good thing Quinn is not playing 110% already in round 1. EP40 not engaged? Well, tell that to Nashville, cause they still take him seriously and paid a lot of attention on him, which means less attention to the other 4 on ice. They could have be like EP40 is useless tonight, let's ignore him and double up on someone else. They didn't. That means he is already affecting the game in a positive way jsut by stepping on the ice.

  10. Historic playoff win! Lindholm trade is now a huge win! Unbelievable! What a time to be alive! What area of Rogers arena do we put the Lindholm statue. ~ J Seigel in Kitts.

  11. In the first half of the season the Canucks won a lot of games they were outshot in, by having their tree sized defencemen clog up the middle of ice, giving opponents the perimeter, and blocking a lot of shots.

  12. Cans got another lucky break in the series after being absolutely bullied for 55 minutes. No two ways about it.

  13. EB40 has my sympathy if he is hiding an injury…but if not, it is time for him to show up.

  14. All these points about Quinn, Petey, and Silovs actually shows the depth of the team. You guys have missed the main mantra of the team. Line 1 and 3 have been cohesive on offense and most pointedly defense. Line 4 has won the battles they have been asked to do. Our penalty kill has been extremely good. It would stand up to any team in the west at this time. The system is working. Still want to see Podz get some playoff experience time though as he is a proven bug game player

  15. Canucks were pretty patient last night but they come through was awesome there in the drivers street so we can have a break in between series

  16. Wow… That was one for the ages; that'll go down in Canucks history as one of the most unlikely games ever completed. I think it will be very difficult for The Preds to pull themselves out of the grave Vancouver just dug, and left them shattered in. 'nucks in 5 was a lot lower number than I imagine was in most people's minds. Lindholm is now officially a Canuck, and so, so happy for Silovs; no one could have blamed him if it had gone the other way, all things considered. Pretty cool…
