LOL man it gets me every time, listen I never liked the leafs and I’m Canadian, I don’t like Matthews either. Yeah he can score. Does he make other players on his line better., I’d argue no. You need a team player. A two way hard worker. You can expect to win when your team relying too much in a one dimension player.

YES. every fuckng bit of it. the leafs fucked up when they didnt move him before his nmc kicked in. he is going to bend them over once again and take every single penny to NOT show up in the playoffs and cry anytime anyone calls out his pathetic play. glad i stopped watching this disaster of a franchise.
Pasternak isn't getting these complaints. Neither is MacDavid. Neither is Marchand. Neither is Verhaeghe. Neither is MacKinnon. Neither is Draisaitl. Neither is Trocheck. Neither is Hyman. Neither is Marchessault. Neither is Makar. Neither is Eichel. ETC ETC ETC. Marner is getting paid big dollars to help his team win and it's that simple. He isn't helping, never mind when compared to the other well paid players who do…every year. The Leafs look like adolescents playing against men and their "Core 4", not just Marner, amount to 4 Phil Kessels. Reasonable players, at least when nothing is on the line, but not a real leader in the bunch and not an ounce of sand in their game.
He does not deserve this much criticism. Mitch is the guy that has the most points in this series.!!

People in Trono seem to have blinders on regarding their team. Marner useless in the playoffs and Nylander is equivalent to a shinny league 4th liner. This team that Shanny built is pretty much going to go nowhere's with Tavares as the captain who has no sense of urgency or fight in him. Matthews, you really have to question whether he has a heart for this game. Yeah he loves dancing around in December when he's got 40 goals but when it matters he really has no heart which is sad. His brain is back in Phoenix and golfing this time of year. Did I say anything untrue?

Leafs don't have a #1 or #2 d-man. They have the worse so called #1 d-man in the playoffs. He doesn't PK, doesn't hit, doesn't clear the front of the net and on the PP isn't a threat from the point. When you have been in the league 11yrs and haven't developed a slapshot or one-timer, not a guy l would want on my team. Rielly the most overrated so called #1 d-man in the league.

AM is, has been, and always will be a regular season princess that has NEVER shown he can do anything when it matters. Scoring goals in the regular season doesnt mean shit, its just how you get your team to games that matter. If you cant score when it matters, you don't matter.
I say this as a bolts fan that saw my whole team be regular season merchants, but they got their asses kicked, regrouped and improved. The leafs have proven over and over they are totally incapable of doing such a thing, so really they're core should just be dropped to AHL at this point.

Dumb coach played his star players in the last 2 games before the season ends! Dumb coach is afraid of bad mouthing his overpaid stars. Dumb coach defended his team when they couldn't kill penalties, couldn't score on powerplay, and gave up breakaway and 2-on-1 when they had powerplays! Get a new coach!
Thanks Craig! Marner is too soft and afraid to hit anything. Leafs way over payed this guy. He's more interested in being a dancing fool, has an arrogant tone in his interviews and cares more about his wardrobe than competing.
