How the heck do you not know that it was Kadri that nixed the trade? Also Adam specifically stated how Shanny would be fired if the Leafs lost another first round once Pelley was made Shanny's boss. your take on Sutter is incorrect. Yes he made a mess but they kept messing things up. Notice how the Flames tried very hard this year to try to ruin the Oilers playoff hopes by trading to Vancouver, Dallas and Vegas. Oilers were going to pay more for Tanev but they still sent him to Dallas. They could have gotten more for every single one of those trades. Can't put everything on Sutter

On the Cup engraving note, one guy that will most certainly have the Oilers petition on his behalf to be put on the Cup regardless of if he plays in the Final or not is Sam Gagner. So Jack Campbell isn't even top of the priority list for the Oilers to lobby for.
