  1. I know it’s suboptimal to have Graves on 3rd pair but the small sample size of St Ivany and Graves gives me a little hope that he can find his game in some way here. Possibly a trade deadline trade potential

  2. A long time Pens fan here! The Pens hopefully will be better next year, but please get a few more veteran defenseman that are actually good! If not then the Pens will blow again next year!!

  3. Get a coach who can actually get them to give and receive passes. This year was freaking PAINFUL to watch-30% of passes on target.

  4. Keeping the "D" basically if not completely in tact……….MISTAKE!!!! This hoping crap gets real old real quick! At this point, my excitement of having Dubas is quickly cooling for sure. Just my thoughts. Great show guys.

  5. Not signing another big ticket free agent defenseman is holding Sullivan accountable. Sullivan wanted Graves. This is Dubas saying you wanted him. Coach him up. How much money can you throw at a defense? The top 4 accounts for almost 25 million and he has to resign MP28.

    Sullivan wanted Graves.

  6. i cant believe that they are staying with the same pairings on defense and the strategy is hoping that POJ grows and graves changes.

  7. I'm not sure why anyone expected anything different. Letang isn't going anywhere. Pettersson isn't going anywhere. POJ and St. Ivany are the type of cheap, 3rd pairing depth we need. Which leaves Graves and Karlsson…who are both virtually unmovable with their contracts. The only way they could move Graves would be taking on another poor contract…something like Graves for Kotkaniemi. Best hope is that Graves rebounds to where he either plays close to what they expected when they signed him, or he ups his value enough to be tradeable next summer.

  8. since sullivan was involved in the hiring, does sullivan take this as "they hired a friend of mine at my recommendation" or "this guy could replace me as he also has Fenway connections"?

  9. Graves is pathetic and so is the GM for thinking he is worth bringing back! He just doesn’t want to admit he made a terrible trade getting graves! Dubious doesn’t strike me as someone who is in a hurry to sign better players for Sid and Geno to make another run at the cup.
