Very disappointed in the way the Oilers played game 7.
They played with absolutely no drive. It wasn't that Florida played well, it was Edmonton played lousy.
They played as if disinterested. In the last minute Edmonton's coach made an idiotic mistake. He pulled the goalie without controlling the offensive zone. That last opportunity was a complete waste, fighting with an empty net in your own zone losing 2-1 with less than a minute to play.
Dumb move by a coach if I ever saw one in almost 70 years of watching NHL hockey.
His coaching style in this game reminded me of Chicago's coach Billy Reay, if there was a chance of making a dumb move, he would find and do it.
Florida didn't win the game, Edmonton lost the game with an uninspired effort.
Even McDavid, these last 2 games didn't have that spark that got the Oilers to a 7yh game.

I've noticed a bad trend in highlights, which I think is due to AI. When a goal is scored, we really like to see the 7 or 8 seconds before the goal. How was the goal set up? Were there mistakes in the defense? What we get instead is a series of 1-2 second vignettes throughout the game, covering the trivial moments as much as the crucial moments of the game.
Maybe we should stop growing beards and learn to win as a team. But you go beard growers.
Garbage game the better team did not win. I worry about the NHL if teams all start playing like the Panthers then it will be bad for the players bad for the NHL ..grinding games getting half of your goals that are junk goals , fluke goals ..this is bad for hockey
