Florida didn't win this hockey game, Edmonton lost the game by playing tippy toe hockey, laying back and laying back and laying back waiting for somebody else to do it in this game.
Edmonton played uninspired hockey, as if was just another regular season game….
It wasn't.
They seemed to forget how hard it is to get to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals….to make it to a 7th game of the series….to have your dream come true.
Winners 🏆🎉🏆 want something very badly and will do all that is necessary to achieve that dream by taking those chances, because you want it so much.
I don't know who was behind coaching the Oilers tonite, but it sure wasn't the guy who coached them to get to a seventh game.
This coach tonite did not play a tactical game he simply made dumb moves.
The dumbest move, the most unforgivable move was going into the last minute of the game.
He pulled the goaltender without the team having control of the offensive zone thereby putting the team in such a hole just wasting precious time trying to keep from Florida from scoring on an empty net.
This coach sabotaged that last minute opportunity to tie up the game in the last minute by making such an inexperienced blundering decision. Instead of creating a last opportunity of getting a goal, he made the team spend all this time trying to keep it out of their open net.
Dumb….plain dumb…..inexcusable from a professional coach
