You can tell he is just reading. Doesn’t care at all and knows nothing.
I can feel the genuine enthusiasm in Ryan's voice. So glad to have another new hockey fan, welcome to the fold. If we want the sport to grow, it takes seeing new fans sharing their first experiences. Vamos Gatos!
Hope Ryan puts more effort into learning hockey and trying to get into the sport for real. I feel like football players and hockey players have more in common than Football and Basketball tbh…just would be good to see ESPN put more hockey coverage on if they're going to get historically significant votes so that their employees actually put work into learning the sport to be informed enough to have an opinion. They can say "there's no money in hockey" all they want, but the media coverage is what brings in money, so cover it more and have it bring in money ffs.
Carter Ver-Hay-Ghe
Carter Vara-gee?
I watched this team in the 90's practice at incredible ice all the way until now… What a journey and privilege to watch
ESPN is the worst broadcast in hockey. This just proves it right

Carter Varegy. Was this take your child to work day at ESPN?
This was deemed worthy of being put on youtube? A man who has never seen a complete hockey game, who can't pronounce the names of the players and reads someone else's questions for PK is put front and center? This was embarrassing to watch! Stay in your lane or get off the road. Disney has ruined espn.
Ryan Clark’s pronunciation was as good as the Oilers’ 3rd period effort.
He just watched his first hockey game and is reporting on it? Was absolutely nobody else available?
This coming from a narcissistic slew footing nobody with zero cups ….. go away PK
Where is Greeny? No offense Ryan, you're great, but this aint it.
2:29 did the guy for espn nhl just say that was the FIRST TIME he watched an entire hockey game? Yeah its Get Up but come on man
Are the people who run ESPN even watching closely at this because clearly they do not care. It's embarrassing! I would've run the NHL on espn/abc better than these clowns!!
The host is totally clueless about hockey. Among 330 million Americans this is the one ESPN picked. ESPN is a drama entertainment network but not a sports network. A drama but nothing close to sports journalism in many countries around the world.
Is this real? Can’t even get the names right?
This diversity announcer knows nothing about hockey. What a joke.
who the fuck is the guy talking in the beginning this is insufferable
Yessssir Coach🏁🏁🫡
oof on this. yikes.
Lol rough
RC gave it his all but the biggest hockey game of the year, maybe this decade and this is the coverage we get lol
I just made it I’m testing it out ingame
This was hard to watch lop
I agree, Veragee had a great goal, Bruhbovsky made some incredible saves, and Kookov played well.
I don't blame the host. I blame ESPN for not having him prepared. I actually lke R.C. when he covers football. But this was awkward. I actually felt sorry for him .
"easy shot, bucket" come on. Gordie Howe and Rocket Richard just rolled over in their graves.
😂 at least try to learn the game
I like how tkatchuk is hugging himself lol
