  1. Even though Burke gets on my nerves with his Nylander takes, I’m happy for him and will be rooting for his success.

  2. A Rhodie has an inferiority complex to a Masshole. He will fire Sully when Lou's Islanders move up the East standings and the Pens fall down it.

  3. I'm happy for Burke. Being Canadian there are very few American's i like in the world of hockey, Burke is definitely one, Chris Nilan is another. I put up with Wheeler and Hellebuyck only cuz i'm a Jets fan.

  4. We PEN fans are ecstatic and want another CUP out of the Crosby Malkin era. Burke will add some defensive grit. Grinders win Cups. Its A GREAT DAY FOR HOCKEY.

  5. Burke is lucky they still have Sid for a good while yet and that Matheson & possibly Tanev in a year or 2 are the only bad deals on the books. However, the talent & prospect pool needs reloading & maybe Brian will add some Colton Orr 2.0 truculence for the 4th line/3rd pair!

  6. Today's most Iconic Canadian Hockey Executive is American Brian Burke who has lived AT LEAST half his pro career N of the Border. He's, old school, he doesn't wilt under pressure, he's not afraid to gamble and overall he's a good head. Second, I hope there is room on the Bridge of Starfleet Command for Kipper to make a return to the limelight. Believe me, NO HOCKEY FAN was glad to see him go. Budget cuts salaries yahwhateverjust "BRING HIM HOOOOME!!!!!"

  7. YEAH!!!!!!…anything that gets this guy off analysis on TV works for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Not a peep from Friedman or anyone at sportsnet regarding the Truculent one taking his talents to Pitt. Was burky holding our all this time?

  9. is it not concerning he didnt mention calling Malkin also? Hes just as important to their success

  10. Love Burkie. Hope things go great for him. He seems like a genuinely great guy and family man under his tough exterior.

  11. Might wanna call Geno too. Kinda confusing why Sid gets mentioned repeatedly and the coach and the former GM, but not 71. Burke sounds like a great guy, but I wish they had gone with some new blood.

  12. I love Sid..please tell me once sid leaves is this great show going to continue…I've heard nothing on this and will Donovan be the man because he's the man…

  13. Way to go Brian! Always knew you'd be back in a role in the league. Was a pleasure watching you on SN the past year or two. You will be missed! Best of luck. Hope you can get Sid one more cup before he heads off into retirement. 🙂
