  1. I'm still gobsmacked they gave away Bread Man to bring Brandon Saad back. And Andrew Shaw. Seldom does bringing the band together again works

  2. Brandon Saad was a top 6 forward in 2013. And then Saad was traded to the Jackets after the 2015 cup for Artem Anisimov

  3. Raanta was the 3rd string backup for the Blackhawks in 2015 because Scott Darling took the backup role by out playing Raanta

  4. The 2010 Stanley Cup Stan Bowman didnt built that roster I still sont give any credit of the 2010 cup to him but the 13 and 15 yeah Bowman built those rosters

  5. Dave Tallon built the Blackhawks core not Bowman. Every cup saw the Hawks ship out multiple guys in the off-season because of cap problems. Bowman was responsible for retooling in between cup wins as well as the trades and contracts that ultimately shut their cup window.

  6. Two players that was a huge part of our success that really doesn’t get too much respect and credit is the defensive pairing of Hjalmarsson and Oduya. Often were those two on the ice to shutdown other teams top lines and did it very well.

Hjalmarsson for Murphy was really not worth it.

  7. How about Chumps to Champs on the St. Louis Blues? If it hasn't been done already, just found this channel.

  8. Blackhawks fans should look at the Penguins and the late 2000's Red Wings. They have a legitimate chance of seeing at least Kane and Toews be key contributors in a reinvigorated Hawks team in a few seasons.

While neither the Pens in the Crosby-Malkin era nor the Wings in the Lidstrom-Zetterberg era fell quite as far down, both those teams won a cup or multiple cups early on with the core then went through middling and frustrating seasons before resurrecting as cup contenders and champions.

And they're not the only teams who've done it but it's clearly happened more in the cap era as it takes time for players contracts to become less impactful and the cap to rise and for the GMs to move out regrettable contracts. I think the ultimate key to modern cup contention is depth.

The Penguins found it in 2016, the Caps had it plus Ovechkin at his best in 2018 and the Blues pretty much won off having 4 threatening forward lines and wore down the Bruins 1st line in 2019. And the Hawks had immense depth in their 3 cup wins and the Kings did too. And considering that was one of Bowman's strengths and that he's still drafting solidly, I think they have a shot at the least.

  9. Congratulations, you’ve gained a new subscriber. This was a well-made video imo. As a suggestion for a future video in this series, look at the 1983 New York Islanders

  10. I heard Chicago was illegally video taping the visiting team locker room showers and would beat on trash cans whenever someone dropped the soap. Asterisks for those 3 titles 🧐

  11. You forgot to mention that in the last couple of years Corey Crawford has been injury prone and even when back was not good.

  12. Losing a lot of good youngsters, teravanien and panarin because of giving most of their money to a few stars

  13. Can you do one on the 2011 Vancouver Canucks?
I know they weren't a "champ" as such, but they did put together one of the most dominant regular seasons in NHL history and get to a 7th game of a Stanley Cup Final before it all imploded so spectacularly.

  14. Man, I forgot that they came so close to the finals in 2014. They could have won 3-in-a-row and 4 out of 6 years…

  15. Cause the NHL breaks teams up after winning multiple cups
As a penguins fan they broke our team up in the summer of 2017

  16. The best thing ever was seeing The Blackhawks get swept by Nashville in the 1st round of the playoffs a few years ago.

You know the Dynasty is over when the Predators sweep you in the 1st round.

Then again, that Predators team was legit that year.

  17. I really enjoyed this video maybe because im a Wild fan and enjoy seeing the blackhawks lose lol but anyways great series keep up the great work

  18. Bowman didn't make the trades that brought the key players in, Tallon did. Bowman is what has destroyed the team

  19. It’s sad looking at the 2013 roster and knowing one is dead and more than 80% of them are retired
