I ate one piece of dog while I was in Asia because my grandma could only eat dog stew because it’s the only meat that was tender enough and also probably because it’s the food she grew up eating as she was poor and dog meat was the only source of protein back in the day but just like Steve said the meat itself was actually amazing and tender like the best piece of brisket you’ve ever had but just the thought of it being a dog made it like a horror movie as I had to pretend like I loved it so I didn’t hurt my grandmas feeling but as I was chewing the meat all that went through my mind was my own dog at home and how I felt like I was betraying him.
I feel like burning the hair was the big mistake as it’s a stinky coyote they probably has so much stank that it can only make the meat taste odd

My wife and I put Javelina my son and I have hunted in practically everything we eat. We coyote hunt often also, I figure I’ll have to give coyote meat a try some day….rattlesnake is on the list to try too.
