  1. The team has over paid pretentious core.
No physicality. No net presence grinders. No one willing to get filthy in the corners or the slot.

  2. There are 4 players that should be considered, and Kakko is not one of them…Kreider, Trouba, Miller, Lindgren…NOT Kakko.

  3. As a NYR fane, we want a shake up and we want it now… it’s absolutely on the players at this point and the front office got to make a statement to wake this team up. LFGR

  4. Literally everyone was scratching their heads the day that Jacob Trouba was announced as the captain of the Rangers. People were defending him saying he was a leader in the locker room but he sure doesn't lead them on the ice that's for sure. Other than wearing the C on his jersey and every now and then delivering a solid body check the man is non-existent on the ice. He's been failing defensively and blowing opportunities offensively. Pretty much not impressed with anything he's done since he was named captain….. I'm surprised no one has thrown Mika Zibanejad's name into the conversation. After dominating in the regular season last season he absolutely disappeared in the playoffs which is the last thing you want and this year he's been abysmal. As of today the dude is -14. He's got the worst plus minus on the team. It's almost like every time he's on the ice something bad happens.

  5. A very tough man to interview both in english or portuguese. Mike asked proper follow-up questions to get more info. Good job

  6. I’m so sick of hearing about how they’re gonna fix things when they haven’t even benched the players who refuse to try 😂😂😂😂😂

  7. Who would even want Kreider he is terrible

Plenty of guys can put home open rebounds from 3 feet in front of the net…

  8. We saw the lazy play from this core when they got bounced in round 1 by Devils. The fact the core was not broken up then, was a mistake.

  9. Many teams are at the cap right now. So unless Rangers retain alot of salary it's going to be tough to move players. Teams who do have cap are in rebuild mode and want picks and prospects not old veterans past their prime like Trouba.

  10. they should trade Kreider. I would make the argument that they never should have signed him to his last contract. He's a world-class athlete, but he has no leadership, heart or a consistent passion. the records he holds for the franchise are merely a representation of his time in NY. Over a decade. Again, world-class athlete, but no heart.

  11. A major shakeup is coming and do the Rangers eat up cap space by resigning Shesterkin for $13 million/yr. Since Shesty has been here, he has done a great job but the Stanley Cup has been won without him. Zib is the worst at a -14, Miller a -8 and Lafreniere a -11. Thats where the problem is. Trouba and Krieder are -2 and that number can go down at any time.

  12. The mentality of doing something just because we want to do something is silly. Targeting one or two players to blame is silly. The team is not playing up to expectations, not just one or two players. An underperforming team without Kreider is still going to underperform. Same for Trouba, Miller, Zibanejad, or the next guy you want to hate. Last year the Rangers did well and we were all on the bandwagon, but there were deficiencies for playoff hockey which require a different plan. The GM did not address these deficiencies. The coach has not changed an approach that ultimately failed. The players now lack direction.

  13. There’s always a chance that a team with its best players on the wrong side of 30 can fall off a cliff.

That’s what may be happening to the Rangers.
