  1. The moment green was hired, I was hopeless. There's no justification whatsoever for choosing him over the other options. It simply reflects the losing mindset and culture of management.

  2. when your player exige to be captain or he leave the team u know what is wrong lol

  3. There must be something in the water out in Ottawa that takes away the skill of their goalies. Even on the struggling sabres teams of the late 2010s, Ullmark was able to keep his save precentage above 900. Add on the fact that Korpisalo is having a pretty good season in boston, with a .909 sv% and a 2.40 GAA.

  4. Heres my short essay on Ottawa: Many of the young, core players are mentally broken. When they start the season, the jet engines are ON and they start zooming. But when they lose, they take it to heart and they start getting in their own heads. Then they lose 2 in a row. Then 3. Then the room goes silent because the demons of past seasons of failure start smothering them. Its HARD to break through that losing trauma. Its like Toronto in the playoffs. Its like "oh no…not again". Then they start gripping their sticks tighter, suddenly the lights are too bright, and before you know it youre back at the bottom of the standings. Things like that are really difficult to overcome.

  5. The core is mentally weak, and DJ taught them to be fine with losses. Brady Tkachuk is a cosplay captain, a true captain doesn't defend the coach from the backlash DJ got for the lack of improvement in results. People mistake playing a power forward role as leaderships, Brady liked DJ because he never held him accountable that's why he defended him, he's captain but doesn't help his team win games, he only pads his own stats and fights after they already lost.

  6. Since all goalies perform like crap in Ottawa I've come to the conclusion that team defense is either optional ,pisspoor or both.

  7. Their advance analytics are the best they’ve been in years. As a Sens fan myself I’m tired of the losing, so I’m not surprised that others are quick to think this is the same old story. You are right that the depth has been horrible this year. Pinto, Greig and Amadio have not been good enough period. Even still, Ullmark has been better as of late, and if the depth can step it up they may be able to get back into it.

It’s also worth noting that Jake Sanderson has seemed to take a step back this year. Although he has 15 points, Sandy is first and foremost a defensive defenseman who has developed a strong two way game. Last year he and Zub were a true shutdown pairing. So you’re right, they need to find a solution, whether is be externally or internally.

Either way, if they aren’t in the fight by the deadline I would fully embrace moving a major piece, excluding Stützle, Sanderson and Tkachuk.

  8. 'Member when Ullmark blocked trades to the Kings, Avs, and Devils?
