1. This abysmal team is entirely on Lou. All he did in the off season was add Tsyplakov & Duclair (good moves but not enough) and and a new assistant coach who can't save the PK. Speaking of special teams, why the hell is MacLean still behind the bench? Our PP is atrocious! Lou's given out bad contracts to the wrong players who are consistently inconsistent except for the goaltending. He needs to go. I seriously hope he gets fired this season. This team is almost as worse as the Fisherman era days. I've always supported him and was excited when he was first hired. He brought in Trotz and made some good changes. But ever since that last eastern conference finals appearance, he has really done nothing to help this roster. Trotz mysteriously gets fired for missing the playoffs after all he did. Then Lambert was hired which was a huge mistake, and now Roy. It can't always be the coach. Horvat was a complete waste of a 1st round pick and Pageau is not worth his salary among others. They should have kept Eberle and Leddy. Trouble is, no one wants to play on Long Island. The biggest sign that something's wrong with this team is every time someone goes down, we fall apart because of lack of depth. That's how fragile we are as a club. It's so bad, the AHL and ECHL teams are among the worst in their leagues and have been for years. That doesn't say a lot about our draft/management team. I don't blame Roy at all either. He's doing the best he can with this awful injury prone team. Please fire Lou! It's time. It's time to rebuild this team with a GM who isn't in a rush and knows what he's doing. Fire sale time! Total liquidation for assets. It's really sad because I live in a state where I can watch the Lightning and Panthers play lights out hockey and every time I ask myself "Why can't the Islanders dominate like this?" Because of Lou, that's who…

  2. HA HA isles tried a different game with same outcome-a big L. Isles fall behind 4-0 yet try to mount comeback at 4-2 then realize this offense sucks and isn't capable of a 4 g comeback. On the bright side or predictable side pk shines again giving up 2 more g's. pk should be 32nd any game now. Just face it 30 was horrible. When 30 is horrible isles have NO FKN CHANCE to W. Isles sooo not a playoff team now last in division 2 pts. out of east cellar. 7 loser pts. keeping isles out of east cellar. Hopefully the clock is now ticking on louzer-TICK TICK TICK…

  3. Hi Gil. Sorry fell asleep esrly lately . Lol you guys saying Roy is gone ?? Im looking at you ronald and Andre .come on man .wtf do expect him to do woth this joke roster .stop being typical fans. He s a blessing and will be g.m. like i said on my bday when we hired him .He was brought here to replace Louzer THANK GOD

  4. Lou keeps doubling down on his veteran core with their NTC and Max contracts saying they can win. This is what makes this so frustrating . A veteran core should not come out as flat as they do as often as they do and implode as often as they do in the 3rd period

I firmly believe the issue is a combination of psychological, being old and CULTURE problem

We ALL have seen the video of Ovechkin yelling at his teammate saying turn the puck over again and I will kill you

    Granted excessive

However they need some new blood who has cred in the locker room meaning 60+ points who literally will be yelling and cursing out the team

    Enough is enough

If the islanders did this when roy was playing in Montreal after a loss he woukd have gone berserk

I know bc lived in Montreal for 5
    years

  5. NO EFFORT AT ALL!!!!!! Terrible, embarrassing. 60 minute hockey doesn't exist on L.I.

I feel for Sorokin, it gets demoralizing when you have to stand on your head every single night with little to no help. Please don't start with the injury talk, EVERY team has them, that creates opportunities for other players to step up.

Bring back the ice girls, we need em.

  6. Total embarrassing break down. They've hit bottom. It's becoming the joke of the league. Make Roy Gm. Go after Quinville. Draft what you can. Trade whoever you have to. Any of them!

  7. Turned it off when it went 2-0. Did you see how many empty seats there were? Crazy… Thought I was watching the Bridgeport Islanders🥲

  8. Hahaha that’s why seats were selling off 2$ a seat, best thing as a team is to Tank get the kid from Long Island on the team he’ll be early 1st round, great show thanks Gil, redundant it’s constantly the same thing. Hopefully the owners get together and relieve Lou Lamarillo of his job.

  9. you forgot about Engel on the penalty kill Gil lol……won't be seeing him again…bring up the kids, sell everyone we can. anyone who wont waive their no trades can be sent to play in Bridgeport. this is jersey 2.0,…we are going to be bad with or without Loyu for awhile….worst cap situation in the league….what's roy gonna do as gm either…we ar e gonna have to eat it for a few years

  10. Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL in every sense of the word. The only good thing that came out of this was that they weren't shut out. They made Seattle's goalie look like a Vezina Trophy winner. I wouldn't be surprised if Patrick Roy gave them heat and lots of it, too. He put Pierre Engvall on the 2nd line. The Islanders looked like ****, AND THEY KNEW IT. I'm not going there when it comes to injuries, but if they rush the injured players back, especially Duke and Barzy, and they have a relapse, they'll be finished for the rest of the season. The higher-ups should tell Lou Lamoriello this EITHER YOU BRING IN SOME NEW, YOUNG, AND FASTER BLOOD, OR YOU WILL LONGER ON THE NY ISLANDERS PAYROLL. Adam Pellach practiced with the team. They host Carolina tomorrow tomorrow, and it's a Metro game. They play at Ottawa on Sunday, and it's a Conference game. HAPPY 🎂, KEVIN HALLER. He won a Stanley Cup while with Montreal. Gil, before I go, 2 things, 1. I hope you're feeling better, and 2. You're right about something else. At the rate the Islanders are going, I'll be 👀 a lot of nostalgia Islander games. Case in point, game 1 of the 1981 preliminary round between the Islanders and The 🍁. The sting from faded from 1978, they had blood in their 👀, The Dynamic
Duo did their thing, and last but not least, Jiggs and Eddie Westfall worked their 1st playoff game together, and of course, they did a fine job. Now #18 who was there when The Isles got bounced, said that the Maple 🍁 were making mistakes, and the Islanders were like vultures ready to pick them clean. Now, LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

  11. This team has checked out … 14 is lost … 8 and 24 are a mess … 18 is useless … is anyone occupying the 44, 26 and 53 jerseys? Our D corps is porous… 28 looks spent … done

  13. Good morning team! Gil, I don't really know what to say. The team is playing with such heavy legs, and it's obvious. You're right, their play is totally unacceptable. We play sub .500 teams where we can get to OT, but can't finish so we get the loser point. We play teams above .500 and we're not in the game at all. Except for a few brief bursts of potential offense, we have nothing going for us except our goalies. Those bursts are rare and far between, but it doesn't matter because we can't finish either. Something's got to give. Looking forward to Barzy and Anthony's return. Let's see what kind of team we have once they're back. I'm willing to go through these struggles until we find out for sure. We have the Canes and Sens, back to back. Oh, this should really be fun. Gil, thanks again for what you do. Everyone, have a great day and wonderful weekend! Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

  14. Gm Gil. I tried watching the game on demand last night but after 1 period found it entirely unwatchable. This was a home game. Roy has lost this team. There is no argument to be made to refute this. I like Roy far more than usual suspects on this team. this team is one of the worst in the league, period. Its time some of these players are made examples of either with release or made available for assignment to Bridgeport.

  15. This team is a joke. Do the owners even care ? Half empty UBS Arena should say it all. Time for Lou to go. The new GM needs to trade everyone but Sorokin and start over. I would never give Dobson a long term deal. Vastly overrated. Horvat sure looks like he is just going through the motions. Get as many high picks and prospects as you can get.

  16. The organization stinks from the head down. NHL supposedly has the best hockey players in the world. Unfortunately…none of them are on the Islanders. They're not interested as a whole. It's a shame.

  17. It is obvious to everyone that their ownership does not care at all about this team, and it's evidenced by Lou still being GM. Things will not change until he goes
