Getting rid of Holts and getting Cotter is the perfect example of trading away a player with probably a much higher ceiling for a player that fits in way better as a piece of your team. Might have a lower ceiling but might have a higher floor. Great trade and what a fit. If the stars on this team really put their A-game on and the goaltending really get it together in net come playoffs.. This might be a great year for the Devils.
As far as the Isles go… You gave Engvall 7 years at 3 mill per. That says it all.

Extremely lucky comeback both Devils goals off skates. But Islanders are low on talent and it shows. Good teams get lucky. Bad teams have to work extra hard to get 1.
