Best part of the video- and once again shows the class of hockey players – the ref is about to make a call when the two Bolts players skate over to tell him to wait.
Situations like this remind me how little most of us know about human anatomy and injury. There was no indication on either TV call about swelling, the vagus nerve or internal hemorrhage to say nothing about the trachea even though the contact was to the right. Likewise there was no apparent awareness of adrenaline or a delayed effect once slowing down. Most of us need to study anatomy and biology past high school to be better informed even though clearly we cannot know as much as we might like or need or as much as doctors. But I suggest professional announcers need more basic knowledge on injury so as not to come across so clearly ignorant.
Удар артерии и вены шеи справа , отек нарастает , перекрыли питание клеток мозга , гипоксия , обморок. Адреналин снизился и АД . Обморок… Холод и горизонталь.
The trainer holding his neck like that is probably precautionary in case his spine was affected. Glad to know that he's been cleared as healthy since then!

Suck it up u a hockey player geee whizzzz
took a blow in this area …it hurts! Hope it's nothing more serious
From an Oilers fan, we wish you all the best Dylan
I been hit in the throat like that, it's no joke, breathing is hard with swelling and then the adrenaline wearing off
That's a bad part of the neck to possibly be hit in with a puck (since it vulcanized rubber chilled to -16C for game use).
it hit his collar bone, not his throat.

Sunny. Right on top of things. Great teammate.
Broken collar bone imo.
That's a cdn. And the Oilers are going to miss him.

DID Y'ALL NOT LEARN ANYTHING ABOUT WEARING NECK PROTECTION IN HOCKEY FROM PEOPLE DYING BY GETTING CUT IN THE NECK WITH SKATES
As a oilers fan I say good luck to a former player
Do they not have C collars in Canada? WTH?
