I haven't even finished the video but that hit looked clean as hell, and honestly quite textbook. Shoulder to shoulder, no elbow or head used in any way just a really bad fall for the guy hit after the fact. Calling for a penalty is understandable when your guy gets hurt like that, but really that's just bad luck with no dirtiness involved
50+ years ago a typical forward was 5'10", 180 lbs. Greenway is listed at 6'6", 231 lbs. He should be a football linebacker–when he hits an opposing player it could be career ending.
it may be a clean hit, but the sabers player rotated their arm, which turned reilly upside down, Roy is more concerned about why he fell on his head, instead of the hit itself
The hit was a tad late but it wasn't high. The problem is that Greenway stuck a Marchand-style slew foot behind Reilly's knees, effectively making it a judo throw. Cops use the exact same 'surprise!' tactic for take-downs.
3:31 I love all the experts calling clean hit. Textbook slew foot, most people didn't watch far enough to see the single camera angle that actually shows it.
Roy is just full of hot air. clean hit all day. he'd been reacting differently if it was his guy that did the hit. He's normally complete bonkers if he's mad. he just wanted to scream at the refs because he's an idiot.
That was a clean hit should be no penalty. Players not able to take hits anymore these days. This isn't the first time a big hit like this happened this year.

A dirty hit is Trouba and his cheap head shots or that Jeannot hit on Boeser. This was just bad since Greenway is massive.
shoulder to shoulder just bad fall
One of the cleanest hits I’ve seen
Hope he's okay.
Finally, a video where the hit is actually not "dirty." Grennway isn't Canadian, so I'm less surprised that it's a "clean" hit.
Bring Levi back to Rochester

Greenway is a class act. Makes a beautiful clean hit then goes to check on him after he didnt get up.
I agree with that one kid that wasn’t even a hit maybe the way he fell or hit his head
CLEAN 💯 bud just got unlucky on the fall
Clean hit. No head on head. Just playing the game, hate to see anyone get hurt but hey it’s hockey.

If you can’t see the slew foot you need help and also need to question your integrity as a hockey fan
Greenway is a clean player and everybody knows it. Nobody went after him. The big rig just delivered.

I knew the Buffalo crowd would clap when he got up, there a classy group of hockey lovers…
The refs got it right. Clean hit.
Wasn't even a big hit.. The fall was the issue
Clean hit all day long freak accident
I forgot about Greenway thought he was still with Wild
Wait I’m actually confused how that would be a penalty I understand sticking up for a player but cmon
Always a black guy
He was CLEANED out by that hit.
Clean hit bad landing
Much ado about nothing.
TDIL Mike Reilly is a player in the NHL and has been for 10 years!
Patrick Roy still a French cry baby lol
How is that a penalty ???? Man, hockey is gone soft
Can we just give Bo Horvat some credit here
Real classy guy
First off hope he is ok. Second hits do not get any cleaner. third stop complaining ,coaches, about clean hits.

It was clean until the dirty slewfoot legsweep he used along with the elbow to drive his body back causing the head to slam into the ice.
What is Patrick Roy smoking ????
Okay but that was a clean hit. Patrick Roy had no right to be upset.
There was one moment when the puck litery slid like he dint saw anything
There was a chance of greenway getting fired and arrested
