But he needs to be in the Jets top 6, cuz god forbid Chevy is wrong on a 1st round draft pick lol
He wasn't out of position… Two of those penalties we absolute trash.
Give him to the canucks, they seem to take nobodies (brannstrom and hronek) and turn them around quickly
Kovacevic is with New Jersey now
#freeville
Absolutely zero reason this guy should be in the lineup over Ville. Chisholm and kovacevic would have been great depth as well
1000 percent..Stanley is so bad Arneil finally realized in the third that you couldn’t put him on the ice..I believe he had 2 short shifts..I don’t know what his ice time was but I bet it was about the same as his penalty minutes..trade him for a bag of pucks
The Jets, as much as against Dallas Stars, killed every penalty, took so many that would end up killing whatever momentum those Jets might’ve built up towards scoring at least two goals. Stanley took 3, and that is a major problem on a team that’s already lost three straight games, all in regulation, and only scored a single goal in Dallas last weekend.
One may look at Stanley’s point total this season and think that getting some points isn’t such a bad thing even with just three (one of them a goal) over 13 regular-season games from October, but with his +6 pretty impressive.
So why all the hate for Stanley? I haven’t watched every Jets game this season although because I follow all of Canada‘s NBA (Raptors), NBA G League (Raptors 905, based in Mississauga, to the west of Toronto) and NHL teams, I watch as many games that feature those teams as I have the stamina to do. As much a hot start the Jets got off to, they’ve cooled off a bit, but still have a respectable 10-point lead over the Avs for a top-three Central-Division spot.
Should the Jets put Stanley on waivers, trade him or buy out what remains, after this season, of his two-season US$2.5-million contract? According to ESPN Stanley has this regular season taken 19 penalty minutes (PIMs), with four, nine and six respective ones in October, November, and so far this month. As impressive as his plus-minus has been, he took, in that weekend game against Dallas Stars, more PIMs than in any non-preseason game from October, has already taken more this month than in all of October and has taken just 3 fewer PIMs this month than he did last. Something is wrong with him, and I have to wonder if it’s his speed. Just as players can draw penalties with their speed, penalties can be assessed against players because they are a step slower than the players they are given responsibility for covering. taking too many penalties can cost 18 a game, and doing so, despite not having allowed a goal on the PK, a lot of momentum away from the jacks they could’ve used to make that game closer against the Dallas Stars than would end up happening, particularly after taking into account a late-game empty-net goal.
wheres 23 mohan
arent the jets 18-7? lol is it reallly that bad.
Cheveldayoff is a fucking moron. Squandering draft picks on useless trades and useless prospects, Stanley, Demelo, Heinola, Samberg, Appleton, Barron, are all trash and belong in the AHL maybe.
I think stanley isnt an 8th defensemen on the sharks. Hes a bottom 6 wildcard or maybe top 4 for lower rank teams. But for us definitely 8. We cant be waiting much longer for him to find his game. Its either be a wrecking ball or get faster and actually be decent at your FUCKING JOB.
Im 6-4 360 and id probably play better then stanley. Oh and i dont know how to skate.
Trade him, trade him, trade him. He is the weakest link on the team. Put him on waivers and I bet nobody claims him.
I get the logic of choosing size against a heavy team like Dallas but clearly it blew up in his face and he doubled down post game, head scratcher for sure. Chevy should be calling around to see if he can get anything for him
I agree, but you need to make this video when you're less drunk/sad/hungover/sexually frustrated/whatever is wrong with you in this one. Pathetic, whiny video.
It's just down right embarrassing….
Statue has had a couple of good games, but you're right – Ville needs more track.
Stanley is like a bus among Ferraris
Nailed it, my jaw dropped when arnie made that comment the other night about him needing to be in the top 6! At what point do Jets fans just say….enough!?
Send him to the minors!! I have to wonder if anyone would even take him off waivers. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
He has third best +/- among jets Dmen
Heinola must need some conditioning. it's my only explanation for all of this.
You guys should have seen Jets 1.0. They would waste a first round pick of SERGEI BAUTIN, who no one in the NHL even heard of. Then they would pair him with IGOR ULANOV, who was almost as horrible. One game, my buddy found me at the arena from 4 sections over, because I was laying into big Sergei. 😅 So these clowns would be responsible for losing the first 3 playoff games, then they would put in Mike Lalor, ( who wasn’t sensational, but solid, and at least Sergei was off the ice etc) win 2, but lose the 4th and final. (Jets coaches would even play them on the penalty kill. So it was like a 5 on 2!!) When Sergei got traded to Detroit, he tested the worst in the WHOLE ORGANIZATION. That means equipment staff, front office etc. He never played another game in the NHL. I was the ONLY guy who stood up at a year end meet and greet, and actually addressed all these issues. The coach John Paddock gave me the same lip service we get today. (It was amusing watching all the fans turn around and look at me while I was ripping into the coach tho)
But everyone was saying “We will be better next year.” Etc. This has been going on for 40++ years.
A shame we lost Dillon.
I agree with your assessment of how this organization is run. It’s bizarre at best. Loyalty seems to be the key to everything. Usually the only way out is to fire yourself which is what Vesalainen , Gawanke, Laine , Roslovic , Maurice etc. did. Chipman wants Chevy to be like David Poile who was permanently installed so long no other GM could relate to them. Chevy gets to speak once or twice a year, rubber stamp bad coaching decisions and never challenge the status quo. He tries to make a Picasso using a paint by numbers kit. If he could only make a proactive move to improve this team which other GMs constantly do. Also I don’t think our scouting staff is very good or have proper resources that other teams have so a lot of our picks have been middling at best. Heinola is unlikely to becaome a saviour but he could at least get the puck out faster without constantly icing the puck. The situation here could go from bad to worse
Big Stan plus -0 Josh Morrissey -3 but it’s big Stans fault. Give me a break.
Definitely a lot of soccer players are in here
Logan Stanley should be feared in the NHL. He needs to channel his inner Chris Pronger, Scott Stevens, and start plowing through these dorks. He doesn't use his body enough and when he does level someone the other team wants to fight him, and they draw penalties. He needs to be that gritty type of player for us. It be nice if he can also be responsible and not take idiotic penalties for us as well. That'd be nice.
Is heinola hurt?
only time stanley was good was in the game against the canadians where he sniped 2
💯 % great points
There is an absolutely no justification for Logan Stanley holding down a lineup position. Just try and trade him and find out the junk change you’re offered.
He is atrocious.Arniel just slipped down the coaching ranking after that comment. Yikes…
+6 for Stanley
He’s playing his way out of the city.
He has size and muscle that’s why they want him. I think he was not developed well, poor footwork, and no speed. Agreed he hasn’t improved at all.
Wow, are the Jets ever missing Samberg! How important was he to our D corp this year!!!
I was so mad when the jets waived Chisholm (top AHL guy and good enough for roster) for this guy that no one in their right mind would claim. Wild laughed at that one…. and I get sad watching Chisholm race around for the Wild!
Stanley's just slow all the way around. Slow feet slow mind!
After watching and listening to this video for almost 10 minutes, I find the most embarrasing thing to be the YouTuber's grade school analysis of this situation. Stanley is bad, Stanley is bad, Stanley should not be playing pro hockey….over and over and over. We get it. You think Logan Stanley is a terrible player. Maybe he is – but if you want to prove your case, provide more statistics. Saying Stanley is bad (over and over), but management insists on playing him (over and over) doesn't take us anywhere useful. I guess the author of this planned to do a 10 minute video, because near the end he totally forgets about the Logan Stanley issue and starts talking about why Jets Season Ticket sales are declining – surprise – Logan Stanley!! I'm pretty sure Season Ticket sales declining because of tough economic times and a lack of corporate sponsors buying corporate suites and ticket packages – but hey, maybe it's all Logan Stanley's fault (hint: it isn't). If anyone searches this up, possibly looking for "dirt" on the Jets, I'd advise you to move past. Even the worst local newspaper writers do a much better job covering the Jets than this YouTuber. I felt a need to respond to this because I AM a Jets fan, and I heard this video is "blowing up" on You Tube. I just want anyone – Jets fan or hockey fan in general to know this is NOT, by ANY LEVEL, a well balanced argument on anything related to the Winnipeg Jets. Thanks!!
A soccer player give it up
My thoughts exactly get miller back in.
