I still think he can be really good and also if he helps the other ducks players get more physical (Ds) that's a plus for you guys! Also a good mentor for Solberg ngl lol. Maybe you ducks fans might be a bit happier
That third Period shift impressed me quite a bit, the "im gonna do it myself" bit he had there. I don't really understand Cronin's way of not placing young players with vets, and why he needs to punish Minty once more on a simple mistake when Fowler/Killorn make them often.
Yeah he's been solid. That offensive zone sequence you showed impressed me, I'd love to see more of that from him
But I'm starting to get worried about Minty. I hope I'm just paranoid and we're NOT going to lose him like Theodore, Lindholm, Montour etc. That would SUCK
Even with Trouba having a reputation that precedes him, it was awesome to hear the color commentator on the CHI vs NY game last night say "….I'm not sure about going up the Blue Line against Radko Gudas and Jacob Trouba", followed by the play-by-play announcer replying "yeah, what a nasty piece of business". I'm so excited to see some additional muscle added to the lineup.
I want to see Trouba with Minty in the same lineup
1. Trouba looked good. Team was much more noticeably physical with him on the ice.
2. Zelly looking great.
3. We desperately need a goal scorer that synergizes with the younger guys.
4. Why the hell is minty scratched.
I actually like the trouba trade. Hopefully he makes fowler look good. For other interested parties…

Man I really want to see Cutter on the ice more. Why isn’t he at least on the power play!? He sniped that goal in the Kraken game. It’s just weird going from him taking all of these shots to not being in the game hardly at all.
We really need Leo back, especially with Z out.

Cronin’s line combinations are driving me crazy! Especially in OT… wtf do we keep seeing grinders and slow guys (Strome, Killorn Vatrano and Lundestrom ) in OT when we have better open ice players. It’s like he’s trying to lose the game.
love the ducks but as a habs fan its crazy to say the ducks were the better team that game with multiple 2 and a half minute shifts of the habs in the zone and the ducks leading the game for 11 seconds…

I'm a Rangers fan and I was super sad about them trading Trouba away but I'll make due and I guess since I'm a huge Verbeek fan and Trouba fan I guess I'll be rooting for you guys as long as you're not playing the Rangers. Go Ducks, mostly! 🙂

Just proves trouba is still a top 4 dman. If I was anahiam I'd make sure I lock this guy up. True competitor. I do think the ducks should part from zegras fowler and Gibson and next year not be a cap floor team. They need to make that push for wild card.

Hands down more muscle on the team that was much needed, yes a few issues happened but all in all an amazing game, miss zegras though….. he would of been a huge game changer. Not many can beat out Z when he is harassing you to make a bad play or strip it from you,
Would of been nice if ghouli actually tried to fight not just force him down on the ice. If you are going to disturb a player an hit them get ready. Don't try an hide an force them to the ice, throw some fists
I think Trouba actually makes sense in Anaheim. He adds grit a Defense. He was a top 10 D man just a few years ago. What we need now is to move Dumoulin to get Minty in the line up. And try to pick up a scoring winger that can amplify the younger guys.

First impression with Trouba…very impressive. No mistakes and played within his game. Trouba was solid. Terry redeemed himself and we got to see some real fight out of him when his stick was slashed and no call. Ducks played a good game. Still, not enough shots…when will this sink in. Hopefully we build off this. Fowler…always on the wrong side of the play. He needs to go…stop putting out there on the overtime and get Cutter out there. That kid needs to know we want him here. Cronin…get your sh$! together! Go Ducks!
At the 48 second mark, was that Trouba that tried to throw an elbow? Looked like it to me. He didn’t fully commit.
