wow two w's in a row. Are isles sick or what? typical isles w's they hold on to w thanks to e n securing w late. And 30 being better than other goalie. In w vs. sens isles got 2 g's from same line and 2 pp g's from sorry pp that's why isles won. Plus g from worthless bottom line. Even tho pk gave up yet another g. Isles now right on that playoff line. W's doing more harm than good. If isles stay close louzer is sure to trade first away plus keep 29, 21 just to chase eighth. Louzer must thank his lucky stars he has 30, his only recourse to w.
Gil, not sure it’s necessary to play the guy coming off back surgery on back to backs. Why did senile Lou even bother bringing in hogberg? Wasn’t it setup perfectly for him to face his old team? Anyway I’m glad illya’s here and back healthy again. Without Illya I wouldn’t bother watching this mediocre team.

Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? For only the 2nd ⏲️ this season, the Islanders got a back to back 4 point weekend. They looked great against Carolina after an extremely ugly loss against Seattle. Bo Horvat snapped out of it and scored, and so did Oliver Wahlstrom. Maxim Tsyplakov, Horvat, and JG Pageout all had multiple points that 🌙; Hero Pageout for his multiple points, 🐐, once again, the PK. Last 🌙 game in Ottawa. Once they woke up, Ilya Sorokin got solid, and Kyle Palmieri scored 2 goals. The Islanders found a way to win. One good thing came out of this weekend, the Islanders are not in the basement. Hero, Ilya Sorokin, and Kyle Palmieri. 🐐, inability to clear their zone. I hope they can keep it up. The Duke and Barzy are ⛸️ on their own. HAPPY 🎂, JERMAIN GAGNON 1942-2014. An original Islander who scored the 1st hat trick in the teams history. Hear from you later, Gil, but before I go, I 👀 saw the 1981 preliminary round between the Islanders and Maple 🍁 again, and I was looking at Daryl Sittler and the unhappiness on his face, which would stay with him until he got traded to Philadelphia. Good morning team! Gil, as Chris said, the hockey Gods were definitely behind our bench for both these games. To take four points, and on a back to back, was nothing short of amazing. Did the Islanders have a bit of luck in these games? Yes I think so. Bo Horvat gets that very heavy monkey off his back. Anders Lee and Palms keep scoring. A bit of indecision in our own end still. Something still needs to happen with our PK. If this is maybe some kind of turn around, those things are going to have to be addressed. We'll have to wait for a bigger sample size to make that determination. In any event, it was an enjoyable weekend of hockey! Everyone, have a great day today! See you all again tomorrow. Until then.. It’s great they won two back to back games yet there are challenges still with the penalty kill and power play to consistently help them win future games. The goal tenders are very good and a lot of times kept them in games!

As much as I enjoy watching the Islanders succeed, I have watched far too much hockey over the years to glaze over what I watched. Kochetkov was terrible on Saturday and an adjective has yet to be created to describe Forsberg on Sunday. Long is the road and hard is the way but hard work has it's rewards.😊
