– TIMO TIME revient ! Timo Meier marque un but. 1. I think the team is really starting to gel. With all new additions I really didn't think there wouldn't be any pain. We're starting to find that chemistry and the boys look like they are having fun out there.

  2. Finally some good defense where everyone's proactive. Markstrom was also playing a bit more aggressive and it seemed to pay dividends. Have we finally found our groove?!?!

  3. Wooo 😈!!! Loved the way we played! Hope we can play like this all year long. I made it in the house for this one, what a special night it was (if you were a Devils fan!). LFGD😈

  4. At this point it's disrespectful that my only memorabilia of Nico is a DHgate Stadium Series (not my fault). If we go places this season that's getting changed.

  5. Fun game to watch, from the beginning to end. 6 different goal scorers. Marky gonna play next game vs Cal. LETSSSS GOOOOOO

  6. I think a few people noticed this but it was evident about Nico during the intermission interview last night. In the past years he seemed much more friendly but last night he seemed all business. He's always wanted to win but it feels like there has been a shift now. His attitude seems to now be that "anything but winning" is unacceptable. I love this shift in him. Of course, this comes with maturity as well. In addition, he's continue to grow and is now filling out as a man rather than a boy.

Have you noticed this as well? The happy, easy going Nico will not be as seen much as this serious, "I'm tired of this losing" grown version. He's always been a quiet leader but there seems to be a jump in his quiet confidence that is starting to shine through.

In addition, Keefe is beginning to get this team to play his system. We knew it would take time. Also, the fact that they didn't have any practice for his to reinforce it made things tougher.

Do you agree with these takes?

  7. I was so pleased by this game! I love when we beat the Canucks. Im a BC boy who haaaates the canucks!! Solid solid game!! I love it!! LFG Devils!!!!

  8. What a Fantastic win for the boys cant ask for much more then a 6-0 shutout victory by Marky. They came out Sunday against the ducks and played like a solid team, they came out against Vancouver and played like a solid team, if we keep this up i have a feeling people will see us as a cup contending team, and props to Haula for dropping the gloves and beating the absolute crap out of garland. our defense playing good and locking it down and limiting Vancouver's chances, Nico still leading the NHL in goals what more can you ask for then hopefully anther win against the flames. LGD!!!

  9. I was very pleasantly surprised seeing the result this morning. Nico might have a career year. I think I was wrong, Ace. My apologies.

  10. The PK soundbite does not get old. i hope to hear it many more times this season. Nico is an ANIMAL this year

  11. This was a great win, and was super happy for Marky. In the words of 311 “F@#$ the naysayers, cause they don’t mean a thing.” Also, love that they tried to cheat us out of that goal. It’s like the refs forgot that camera technology exists. It was very clearly over the line. I’m guessing in actuality they didn’t have a good view, but as a hockey fan it’s my sworn duty to be pissed at the refs (and Bettman) and think they’re out to get my team. (I do still think Bettman hates us for playing “boring” hockey during the good years.)

  12. Sure wish we could have held onto Zetterlund. Would work well with a line with Jack and Bratt with a first line of Nico, Meier and Mercer

  13. Nico's been a superb two way player who does all the little things right.. seems stronger this year, too, besides shooting more with an improved shot. Rendering the D man's stick useless on Meier's goal is a prime example.

  14. I'm just Aces brother from another mother over here on the west coast, Arizona…love the content, couldn't be more on track with your thoughts. We've got a lot of emotional fans, (overly emotional in the wrong way), this team is for real and built way better than any Devils team I've watched in years. Even better than our 2012 team which tbh, wasn't the greatest but was built right. I believe this is the most similar make up to our cup teams, but with far more dynamic offensive firepower than we've ever had in Devils history. I genuinely have a great feeling about this season, especially with the way Captain Nico is willing his way to success which is clearly rubbing off on others. Let's Goooooooooo Devils!!!!

  15. Loving Nico right now. He has always been an amazing two-way player, but the added offense is an incredible bonus. Yes, he scored another goal, but his play on Timo's goal really impressed me even more. Not only did Nico make a drop pass for Timo, but then Nico drove forward to push back the D, and then held the defender's stick and knocked it out of his hands. That allowed Timo time to shoot the puck through the D's legs and deceive Silovs. Nico is playing so smart.

On top of Timo's goal, Nico made another great play on Mercer's SHG. Nico perfectly placed his shot off Silovs' pad os that if he missed, it would still redirect right to Mercer. Great stuff.

As for a Hart for Nico, it'd be great and all, but I'm not getting excited until Nico is producing like this mid-season. Hopefully he keeps unloading.

    Let's GO Devils!!!!

  16. I'd love to see the Devils win-out the Canada trip. That'd give New Jersey a four game win streak, and they didn't have one at all last year. I think this year's Devils are just beginning to heat up, and will only get better as the season wears on.
