If not for that empty netter last night we were gonna lose that game in OT . Strange feeling to half wish my team loses. If they were at least leaving it all out there and losing but no one can claim that with a straight face.
My Husband had to calm me down after watching that game last night, holy crap that was hell watching the last 2:35 of the game. Poor Fox was gassed and was basically lifeless out on the ice. I was screaming at my TV for Lavi to call a timeout because of how tired the defense looked. Sure enough, that dumbass didn't call a timeout and the Sabers scored late because it was basically a six on four as Fox was there but dead on his skates. Game should've been 3-1 if Lavi actually cared about coaching. It's stupid mistakes like that, which drive me nuts.
The Rangers did what they had to do to win – but not nearly what they were capable of.
What a fall off from last year.
Game was like watching two drowning swimmers thrash and flail over just one life preserver.

I think we get into early next year and in same spot they should start playing all young guys and get experience. They arent going to make a trade unless they give up extra. So I wouldnt expect anything. The Rangers are going to sink into another losing streak and missed playoffs for a while. Sad but true. They were very good for most psrt last year but not built to win cup. Very soft finese team. This all came crashing down when they played Panthers early on and were manhandled
Last night game was complete embarrassment. Rangers are lucky that Buffalo was even worse than they are and after watching it for two periods I had enough. I can’t believe that coaching, management are ok with that effort. It tells you all that you need to know, the standard for that team went from the cup to just hopefully make the playoffs and save yourself embarrassment. We all know, that next few weeks we will be completely destroyed by more skillful teams and I hope that it will happen because it’s time to put a Stop to that travesty!
If we get some defensive depth I think we will be fine. Offense isn’t an issue every night. We have the players to generate goals. If they could limit the breakouts and high danger chances straight down the middle of the ice we can put a winning streak together. It’s really that simple.
I dont really care about making playoffs if we arent cup contenders. Im not advocating a tank by any means but ill take the team losing with the young guys playing over barely scraping our way into the playoffs with the old gen getting all the minutes.
