People talk about the signing of FA and worry about stuff like, how well will contracts age or if there will be room for their prospects to grow, or room in their cap to sign other players as they grow. But the thing is, you can always trade these players later, and recoup some assets. Vegas does it all the time. And if worst comes to worst, buy them out if it ages poorly and no one wants to take on their contract. But there is very little downside to signing a player ehlers, and if the cap hit doesn't get too high, a player like pionk. Cause again, if you suddenly need or want to get out of the contract, there are ways to do that.
