Bouchard was racing for the puck and doesn’t think it might get physical? That’s because Bouchard doesn’t hit anyone. He has 9 hits this year! Kulak no better with 11 and Stetcher with 15. How can defencemen have less than 20 hits in 29 games? Derek Ryan has 18 hits for 💩 sakes. We get pushed around every game, so frustrating to watch and know that Josh Brown can’t play in the NHL and he would have been so great to have back there. Hate to see someone in pain like that for sure, glad no major injury.

lol Hartman has been suspended or fined 237 times (sarcasm), but hes "a really great guy" hahahah. And it was totally intentional….he waited till he was in a position either hit the goalie or the post….now I do agree that Bouch should have played till the whistle

Just don't like hearing those attributes associated with he's a great guy. I don't hang around douche bags so maybe I just don't know that those things go together.
A lot of people in the comments definitely haven’t played competitive contact hockey. It’s just a high danger area in general. Reason why touch icing went bye bye and guys now know just to lock players up when going into corners and such to retrieve the puck.
I don't see a penalty there, but I'm 100% sure that the more rabid Etown fans will call it super dirty. You people sure have wimpified the game. Just like when Nurse was hit coming out from behind the net with his head down. People expect Reeves to not finish his check?? It wasn't charging and Reeves didn't jump up into Nurse. I am an Oiler fan, and I don't want to see anyone hurt. And that is exactly why its" Keep your head up", or you are going to for sure get hurt.

Dick move into the net/goalie, but Bouchard has gotta be stronger with his play. I get he's an offense first guy, but he should also have some semblance of a physical aspect to his game being a D man. When guys know your soft they're gonna take liberties.
Bouch needs to be ready.. however.. Hartmans elbow goes up, which indicates to me more of a hit then a lean.. so I don’t like the area similar to Jason and his rap sheet makes it iffy
Man, I read the title and watched to see if I missed something crazy during the game… Nope. That's just a particularly unfortunate hockey play.
Bouchard has been in the league long enough. He saw the puck bounce off the boards, he should have been ready for the contact fighting for ice-space before getting to it. But instead of properly bracing himself with bent knees, he's virtually straight up and down a split second before the contact. These "fight for real-estate" situations happen every single game, and honestly I think it speaks to how lackadaisically Bouchard has been playing for a few of the last games. He seems sluggish and out of it. I almost wonder if there's something else going on acutely with him.

From Minnesota… Hartman… Off the ice, he seems like a great guy, but has some impulse control issues during games. Most people I know aren't a fan of him because of his lack of self control.
