Regarding the goalie interference call- the score at the time undoubtedly influenced the judgment and I’d expect the same treatment if roles were reversed…unless Hyman.
Regarding Eichel’s hit on Ekholm, if I was Knoblauch I’d have lost my temper at the refs. He is a bit too passive sometimes. The refs need to know when they done messed up bad!😅
This is the Oilers I know. I believe that Edmonton are the Cup Favorites. I thought they were last year as well but got off to a slow start in the finals. Not that Florida didn't deserve the cup or anything they for sure did. I think they will win it if they do end up staying healthy I think they are the best team in the world.

Eichel made some contact, but my first thought was Elkholm did a little bit of a sell on that one.

Hit on Ekholm was so dangerous. Unbelievable that no call was made. If Ekholm did that to Eichel that would have been a major.
mcdavid only involved on 3 points! Draisaitl is currently carrying. This team is going to win, I don't think dallas will and florida is NOT repeating, canucks and vegas look good but they aren't cup worthy, minnesota and winnipeg are pretenders (trust me minnesota ain't winning). Washington is looking dangerous but I think they're pretenders also. Who do you think will face the oilers in the finals (if they make it)?
Oil can win a cup with Skinner and Piccard
I see more consistency in good goaltending and elite defense then elite goaltending and good defense.
However, it's worth mentioning that limiting high danger chances inflates goalie save percentage and goals against per game. Better to use goals saved above expected.

If you throw out the first month of the season, which was horrible in every aspect for this team, Skinner and Pickard have a save percentage of 0.910 and 0.913 respectively (since Oct 31st). That's all this team needs, and If they can keep that up the rest of the way, first place in the division is up for grabs for this team. We'll see if Skinner can finally find a way to stay consistent over a larger stretch. I'm going to have faith that he finds that in himself this season.
Probably a bad take but I think the reason why they didn't call anything was because Ekholm stood up pretty fast. Refs were just terrible and I was fuming after that no call tho. Hopefully they get some payback next time we go against them.
Panthers were shut out the last 2 straight games (I saw the van one in person it was brutal for them)… expecting them to come back with a vengeance tomorrow
Say what you want about Nurse, but whenever they show him celebrating a goal you can see a lot of genuine hype and joy, and I’m sure that’s amazing for team morale. Also really endearing on TV!

You're completely right about the Stu fumble, there was no support and he's still in a dangerous scenario if he stays in his net and tries to read a wraparound. Stu's mistake is that he's only looking at flinging it to the one side, but to be fair its not exactly easy to backhand as a goalie, he still could have had a chance if he was taking it toward the corner ekholm was in – but my only understanding of strategy is from Rocket League haha. Either way, if the other team changes like that on a powerplay against Edmonton, you better bet the Oilers would punish it.

I think the key thing with Eichel's hit is how his skate kicks into Ekholm's, so he loses balance the same time the (soft) cross check connects. Do not like watching that hit again, so glad he seemed okay

As bad as a leafs fan, throwing a parade game 30, Bouchard STILL can’t play defense muppets like you adore him, Edmonton could get sooooo much if they trade him now, especially with teams like NYR and Nashville in panic mode
