Why would the Jets sign him now? I don’t understand.
Mark Scheifele had a 1.75 points per game pace in his last year of OHL and He has a 1.48 ppg pace at the moment. Not bad. Scheifele was over a point per game in his second year while He was under a point per game so he's on track to make the NHL. I think if this kid continues to grow, he could be better that Namestnikov (similar size with a 1ppg in his second year and 1.12ppg in his last year of OHL).

Seriously, it's " the Jets traded up in the the fourth round to select him" and not "select he". Really cool story there, born in China, immigrated to North America and playing at a high level. Wishing all the best for him. Although, really surprised he's not rocking a jersey with a number 8 digit
