That reaction after Matthews goal from JT was really peculiar. Instead of gathering around the goal scorer, he looks away and tries to find other players to coalesce with. Could there be resentment for losing the captaincy?
Other notes, Marner was pretty invisible tonight as was JT. Had Bertuzzi remained it might have been a different start to the season having to pull Robertson/McMann and others out for his spot on the roster.
Murray played well for being away for 2 season. Hope the Woll Murray tandem find success because all 3 are no ironman and will need to be rotating in and out. FWIW, I still miss Martin Jones.
