If it's 5v5 you can argue they were battling…but the fact that it was a PP and they were desperate for a goal, you gotta call that. You can battle, but you can't throw a player to the ice…in the crease…away from the puck. Even Dano and Sal were shocked.

Ace, I totally agree, I want both wins this week! We took care of the elite teams, time to get rid of the drift wood. I am sure Keefe will have the players focused. Most of the division is starting to fall back to us on win percentage, and the Devils are figuring it all out. LGD!

This team has bought in! They are playing for each other. Maintaining D-Zone structure, blocking shots, staying in passing and shooting lanes, and have gotten great goaltending to overcome any breakdowns. On top of all that, they don't cheat the game…they don't quit on any shift. LGD!

Agreed with everything you went over. New coach, players, system and attitude. Of course it was going to take a little time for this team to turn it on and play like a legitimate contender. I’m still laughing at the few Rags trolls that think Cup winning teams go undefeated in the regular season or that if a team has a few bad games in the first 15, it’s time to sell.
Enough of them.
I actually like these type of games, not every night, but here and there. When playoffs come, they will know how to deal with adversity better.

You mentioned it last night during the post game live show and I was thinking the same when it was brought up. Devils need to put MacDermid, Cotter, Dillon, Noesen and Kovacevic on the ice for the first shift of the Devils vs Rags game. Imagine how much different that 5v5 from last season would of looked, lmao.

This team needs to crush these next 2 games and make a statement to the league. Let's hope they don't sleep walk thru home games like they typically do. I think Allen has outplayed Markstrom so far this year, didn't think he was a #1 goalie at this point of his career but he has found the fountain of youth. One thing you didn't mention, this team has 14 wins and still has some issues that will be exposed if not addressed soon. Let's hope management can make smart decisions in the near future. Lots of low hanging fruit can be picked off the teams that will pack it in for the year. Thoughts?
Great win! I was listening to the game at the Tick Diner on the NHL app. The Caps were having a dad's trip. Chico was saying the mothers are more important than the fathers. Glad to see we got it done for the mothers….and the fans. I am thinking of going to the game against the Blues…tickets are reasonable.
Another 2 points in the bank, and robbing direct competition as well. Praising this team all season, this is just morphing into the consistency I'm looking for. Keep it rolling, and can't wait to punch that post season ticket. Team is made for it. The standings are pretty right now, and to the people worried about playing more than the rest of the NHL, it's better to get these wins early and have rested and refreshed while other teams are clawing up come end of regular season. Trade Markstrom for a 1st rounder to a team than needs a goalie, give Allen starting job, use that 1st rounder as chip to get top 6 winger, find a 4C with size who's good on the dot and can put pucks in net, find another 4th liner who can score and the team will be good to go in the Playoffs

Meier,Haula, Palat, Tatar, all bottom 6 minus Cotter must go! They are simply horrible! The Devils have 3-4 players, namely J. Hughes, Bratt and Hischier and Noesen, who are scoring. The rest of the O players are passengers. The Devils are winning mostly and everyone is excited. I get it. But the first 4 mentioned players are all washed and the Devils won't go far with them playing like they are right now. All 4 are firmly on course for the worst year in their careers. Simply pathetic. And nobody talks about that. Everything is masked behind good goaltending and defence
In addition to “Heavier, Edgier, More Violent”, “Why Not Us” should be the inspirational quote for the team this year. Post it in the locker room, have it be the theme of this season. After the shutout to the Sharks on home ice, the last thing I expected was 8 out of 10 points against Panthers, Bolts, Canes and Caps. We can’t underestimate any team as we have seen, but solid efforts against the Preds and Blues and we will see our boys in a solid spot. The team seems to have found their mojo, and are learning what it takes to be a consistent threat every night. General Keefe has the boys playing the way they need to in order to grind out wins. They won’t all be pretty but the regular season is about racking up points and the Devils have done a good job of that this last while. LGD!!

Hamilton has been playing better defensively since Keefe got in his face after Boqfish's goal ( 1st game against Florida) . Keefe holding all his players accountable . He's a better coach than I thought
