At the end of the day, Pettersson is a headcase. So many players are like that in the NHL, other examples of the top of my head, Stuart Skinner and Jake DeBrusk. What does thier play end up looking like? Streaky. Flashes of greatness, followed by long periods of poor play. It doesn't matter if you have elite level talent like Pettersson at the top end, if you can't get out of your own head you won't live up to your potential

You cannot play a Ferrari (Pettersson) like a Fiat. It is not only coaching but also Miller. Miller is a complete redneck a$$. Miller should be teaming up with Milan Lucic or Marchand. Much better fit.

As an oiler fan I think miller was more effective in the playoffs, Dakota Johnson, garland and of course silovs. Petey was a no show, apparently he was injured so I cut him some slack. Hope Vancouver figures this out and takes that next step.😊

I know what happened with JT, my family friend works for the organization and has heard what happened, I’m not gonna say anything out of respect for Miller and this is something that doesn’t need to be out there but he is still recovering, it’s something he called out himself and was honest with the organization about and I’m glad he took the proper steps to getting help before it was too late

I agree with your assessment. I have played with good players that made me worse because of how they played. Thats ok. We just have to know how to work around it. This is a great example of how important team chemistry is.

Van should trade Miler for like a Trocheck or someone. Even if it’s someone not as good as TJ but still a really good 2nd line center So petty can play better. I know you want petty to suck it up but if you have players that can rival Datsuk on his best days I’d say you do everything you can to get him to play at that level.
